Devine Police Report Sept. 27-Oct. 3

Sept. 27
4:28 AM – Complainant advised she struck a raccoon on IH-35 near mile marker 122.
2:30 PM – Major accident on IH-35 SB. Subject flown to University Hospital.
11:15 PM – Complainant at Walmart recovered narcotics inside store. Marijuana less than 2 oz.
Sept. 28
6:45 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to a black sedan parked on the side of the road with a male slouched over. All was okay; the male was asleep.
Sept. 29
12:50 PM – Disturbance between two males in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. Neither party wanted to file charges. Both males were separated.
2:20 PM – Officers dispatched to N. Windy Knoll Dr. in reference to a blue pickup doing burnouts in the area. Unable to locate.
4:00 PM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Colonial Pwky. in reference to a male subject with an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. All was okay; nothing was wrong with the individual.
5:07 PM – Complainant reported a vehicle driving on Devine High School property for over an hour. All was okay; a father and son were learning how to drive.
Sept. 30
8:40 AM – Burglary of a habitation in the 300 block of N. Bright Dr. Forced entry and stolen TV.
9:44 AM – Complainant in the 2000 block of CR 761 has two pawn shop tickets showing a male subject took two combo AC units, along with miscellaneous damage throughout the home.
Oct. 1
1:58 AM – Vehicle evaded officers and wrecked out on Hwy. 132.
6:55 AM – Complainant requested assistance with traffic control on E. Hondo Ave. due to school traffic.
9:15 AM – One semi-truck was struck by another at Amigos Country Corner.
9:55 AM – Complainant at Walmart advised of a theft. Two Hispanic males and one white male in a dark gray vehicle left in the direction of Frio County. A BOLO was sent to Frio Co.
3:24 PM – A female complainant in the 500 block of McAnnelly Ave. was assaulted by a family member.
4:05 PM – Major accident in the 500 block of E. Hondo Ave.
4:24 PM – Disturbance in the 700 block of Pilgrim Dr. A male subject was given a ride to the 400 block of Stevens.
5:00 PM – Report of a van following young females in the 500 block of W. Davis Ave. Unable to locate.
6:00 PM – National Night Out was held at Devine Golf Course. Approximately 550 to 600 people were in attendance.
Oct. 2
12:46 AM – Report of a male wearing a black shirt and blue jeans who was pointing a gun at various buildings in the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave. Officers searched the area; unable to locate. Possibly fictitious report, as a Medina County Deputy was at the area when the call came out.
12:53 PM – Officers removed large pieces of debris with nails from the roadway in the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave.
9:55 PM – Officer investigated a vehicle parked near club house at Devine Municipal Airport.
Oct. 3
3:44 AM – Silver two-door Honda Civic blocked out at location in the 100 block of Bentson Dr. All was okay; a male subject was picking up a female and some of her belongings.
9:30 AM – Drug paraphernalia was removed from a home in the 100 block of Covey Ln.
9:56 AM – Complainant in the 400 block of Renfro Dr. lost her front license plate at an unknown location. Documentation only.
6:15 PM – A male subject in the 100 block of Hwy. 132 N. was walking home and got tired. Officers gave him a courtesy ride to the 100 block of CR 7611.
9:10 PM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 NB in reference to an 18-wheeler not able to maintain lanes. Unable to locate.
