Devine Police Report March 8-14

March 8
3:05 AM – A subject in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. was cited and released for theft less than $100.
8:53 AM – Officers dispatched to the 200 block of S. Commercial Dr. in reference to a verbal disturbance. A female at the residence was removing her items from the home and a male subject was upset.
2:06 PM – Officers assisted the fire department on Blackjack with downed power lines that were still hot and had started a small grass and tree fire. AEP made location.
10:36 PM – Officer dispatched to the 800 block of Libold in reference to loud music in the area. Unable to locate; all was okay.
March 9
8:29 AM – Officer assisted with a major accident with two injuries on IH-35 NB. County units were tied up on another accident in the Hondo area.
March 10
12:35 AM – A female subject was located inside Walmart after business hours. She was turned over to her mother.
10:36 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of Lee Dr. advised three vehicle tires were slashed between 9:00 PM and 9:30 AM.
12:54 PM – Officer assisted DPS with a motorcycle pursuit that started on IH-35. A male subject was apprehended.
3:03 PM – A vehicle in the Walmart parking lot was forcibly entered through the driver’s side door. An after-market stereo was taken. Store video showed a male driving a white four-door car commit the burglary.
11:04 PM – Officer assisted Natalia PD with a disturbance in the 700 block of 7th St. All was okay.
March 11
4:04 AM – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of Breeze Dr. in reference to music being played too loud. Officer advised individuals of the City Ordinance. Music was turned down.
4:41 AM – Complainant in the 200 block of Dixon Dr. advised a blue Mustang was parked at a stop sign for approximately 30 minutes. Unable to locate.
10:28 AM – Complainant advised that cattle were too near to the railroad tracks on Colonial Pkwy. Unable to locate.
11:23 AM – Complainant advised a green car was all over the roadway passing FM 1343. Officer canceled; Medina County Sheriff’s Office units took over the call.
March 12
12:03 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. advised a vehicle was taken from the residence on March 8 and has not been returned.
7:28 AM – Officers dispatched to Walmart in reference to a male subject running in the street and behaving erratically. The subject left with another male subject, possibly on foot, prior to officers’ arrivals. The subject was reported to have a cut on his hand.
12:00 PM – Officer spoke to a male subject riding a lawnmower in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. The subject was informed not to drive on the roadway.
2:36 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Colonial Pkwy. advised two electrical lines were touching each other and sparks were being set off. AEP notified.
2:37 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. advised a male subject inside the store took a nail gun valued at $380 around 9:20 AM.
3:12 PM – Officer dispatched to Rosewood for suspicious activity. A male subject between 30 and 40 years old with facial hair, wearing a dark sweater and pants. The subject was identified as a patient from Sterling Residential Care Center.
6:28 PM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of Transportation Dr. in reference to a male subject walking in the roadway. Unable to locate.
11:25 PM – Officer observed a male subject inside a fenced area in the 200 block of Upson Dr. The subject was an AT&T supervisor, who was checking on equipment for a surprise inspection.
March 13
6:40 AM – Complainant in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. advised an occupied white Toyota Corolla had been parked by the front door of the business since 11:30 PM. A male subject and female subject were ID’d. All was okay.
9:02 AM – Officer notified TxDot that a highway pole with multiple signs was down at the four corners.
8:07 PM – Complainant at the Devine Municipal Golf Course reported a male on a dirt bike was at the golf course. The subject departed prior to officer’s arrival. Officer patrolled the area; unable to locate.
8:14 PM – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of W. College Ave. in reference to a 911 hang-up. Officer made contact with the homeowner. Kids were playing with the phone; all was okay.
9:05 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of N. Teel Dr. reported hearing noise coming from the carport. Officers advised it was possibly an animal and advised the complainant to contact Animal Control if the noise continued. All was okay.
March 14
1:10 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. advised two male subjects came out of a field south of the apartment complex and ran towards the brush behind Triple C. Unable to locate.
7:15 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 500 block of Zig Zag Ave. The male driver was cited and released for driving without a license.
8:55 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. arrived home and noticed his apartment had been broken into. Some items were taken.
