Devine Police Report March 30-April 5


March 30
1:14 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 400 block of N. Teel Dr. A male passenger was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia.
9:21 PM – Disturbance between a male complainant in the 500 block of Ehlinger Ave. and his 14-year-old stepdaughter.
9:28 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Rosemary St. called in reference to her son in the house breaking things. Officer made location and talked to the complainant, who doesn’t want her son at home anymore. Officer was unable to locate the son.
10:50 PM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of Bowman Ave. in reference to loud music. The owner turned the music off; all was okay.
11:35 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of W. Moore Ave. Officer observed passenger concealing something down his pants. Subject was instructed to exit and began trying to flee. Subject struggled and injured the officer. A warrant has been issued for the offender for assault on a peace officer.
March 31
12:46 AM – Verbal disturbance between a female complainant and her father in the 700 block of Faye Ave. All was okay; both parties went to bed for the night.
1:05 AM – Unknown subjects broke an office window at the Little League Field and stole $5.00 off the table.
5:00 PM – Officer assisted DPS with a traffic stop and vehicle search in the 1100 block of Devine Dr.
April 1
12:18 AM – Report of a white vehicle speeding and driving recklessly in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. Unable to locate.
1:39 AM – Complainant left her iPhone Plus at Walmart, value approximately $1,000. Complainant was able to track the phone to an address in Natalia. Officers made location but were unable to make contact.
7:39 PM – Officers dispatched to Walmart in reference to a male subject who was possibly intoxicated. Officers made contact with the subject, who was released to his son.
10:25 PM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of E. Moore Ave. in reference to loud music. Homeowner turned off the music; all was okay.
April 2
4:08 AM – Complainant’s 18-wheeler stalled on top of San Francisco Creek bridge and almost got struck several times. Wrecker made location and removed vehicle.
2:57 PM – A trailer detached from a tractor in the 200 block of E. Hondo Ave. The driver was unaware and kept going. Owner came back for the trailer at 3:12 PM.
3:20 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of Lee Dr. reported cars driving on his property to avoid speed bumps.
8:19 PM – Complainant believes he left his wallet on the counter at McDonalds but was not absolutely sure.
April 3
12:36 AM – Juvenile male in the 300 block of N. Transportation Dr. called and said his mom and sister were fighting. No disturbance; kids were arguing with each other and mom got upset.
4:46 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Enterprise Ave. reported patients fighting with each other.
5:10 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of Breeze Dr. reported a physical disturbance between two brothers. Neither wanted to file charges. Mutual combat. Parties separated for the day.
8:59 PM – Store manager at a store in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy advised that a Hispanic male was acting suspicious inside the store. The subject departed before officer’s arrival.
9:45 PM – Report of a white Dodge pickup seen in the area of storage units in the 100 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. Officer made location; vehicle not on location.
April 4
2:34 PM – Two females with one child at Walmart. Employee observed one female placing the child into the car forcefully. Unable to locate.
2:50 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of Breeze Dr. found driver’s license on her driveway.
2:52 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of N. Windy Knoll Dr. reported someone broke into her storage unit and broke a window.
3:03 PM – A male subject wearing a gray hoodie and talking loudly was at the Little League Field.
11:44 PM – A male subject with a gray hooded jacket was talking to himself at a store in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. The male was given a courtesy ride back to his boarding home.
April 5
1:25 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of Libold Dr. advised an unknown person was tapping on her daughter’s window and took off running northbound. Unable to locate.
6:53 AM – A parked vehicle in the 600 block of W. Davis Ave. was entered and a carving knife, black tri-fold wallet, and wireless Beats headphones were taken. No signs of forced entry.
9:15 AM – Suspicious male subject reported at a store in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. Subject was identified; all was okay.
5:33 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of Davis Ave. reported that her daughter was banging on the door. Complainant did not let her in. The daughter left the residence prior to officer’s arrival.
5:50 PM – Gasoline in the amount of $16.11 was stolen from a store in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave.
6:55 PM – A male subject in the 700 block of Curtis Ave. was involved in a verbal argument over food. Parties separated for the evening.
7:25 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to a person tapping on a window from inside of a vehicle. Officer made contact with an 11-year-old child. The vehicle was running and the child had a cell phone. All was okay.
11:40 PM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of Webb Ave. in reference to two individuals walking through property to go to the park. Officers patrolled the area; unable to locate.
