Devine Police Report June 14-20

June 14
6:20 AM – Officer assisted Medina County Sherriff’s Office with a suicidal female laying down on IH-35 in city limits. Female was apprehended.
1:20 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of E. College Ave. reported a black male subject wearing an orange backpack was refusing to leave the location. Caller advised subject left location.
4:39 PM – Verbal disturbance between a mother and son in the 400 block of S. Teel Dr. The male went voluntarily with EMS to Southwest General Hospital.
June 15
12:00 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Hwy. 132 N. The male driver was cited and released for driving without a license.
6:33 AM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a disturbance between two brothers. One left prior to officer’s arrival. Assisted by MCSO and DPS.
9:26 AM – Major accident on IH-35 SB near mile marker 122. Subject transported to Frio Regional Hospital. TxDot notified due to damaged guardrail. Assisted by MCSO, Devine EMS and VFD.
10:48 PM – Officers assisted DPS with a one-vehicle rollover in the 1800 block of FM 2200 W. Officers assisted with identifying the driver and vehicle.
June 16
12:18 AM – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of W. Moore Ave. in reference to loud music. The music was turned down; all was okay.
1:30 AM – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of W. Moore Ave. in reference to loud music. The music was turned up after officer left.
2:20 AM – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of W. Moore Ave. in reference to loud music. The music was turned down.
3:25 AM – Officer assisted DPS with an accident at Chacon Creek.
4:12 AM – Complainant in the 200 block of Breeze Dr. reported a disturbance between herself and her boyfriend. All was okay.
6:30 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of Breeze Dr. A minor male subject was cited for minor in possession of alcohol and released to a parent.
1:00 PM – A male subject in the 400 block of Pilgrim Dr. was taken to Southwest General Hospital for an emergency detention.
4:45 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. in reference to suspicious activity. A male subject, who was identified, was taking pallets from the side of the store. The subject was stopped by MCSO. Pallets were returned; no charges filed.
9:19 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. The female driver was cited and released for driving without a license.
11:15 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to a male subject using profanity towards a male employee. Subject left location; all was okay.
June 17
1:10 AM – Officer assisted MCSO with a possible disturbance on E. Hondo Ave. Complainant believed her ex-husband was on location. Later learned it was MCSO deputy on a follow-up. All was okay.
June 18
12:30 AM – Possible accident in the 100 block of Hwy. 132 S. called in by Natalia PD. The driver was ID’d. All was okay.
1:45 PM – Officers dispatched to W. Coker Ave. in reference to a male and female who appeared to be having a verbal argument. Subjects stated they were not arguing. They were skateboarding; all was okay.
2:25 PM – Complainant on FM 3176 found a wallet. Officer located the owner and returned the wallet.
4:15 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Jack Nicklaus Dr. reported a window was shot with a BB gun by person(s) unknown.
5:30 PM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 NB near mile marker 124 in reference to a white vehicle in the median. The vehicle had a flat tire; officers assisted motorist with changing tire.
June 19
9:09 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. reported that part of the roadway on side is washed out. City notified.
4:22 PM – Complainant on Mockingbird Ln. reported a white van was parked in the roadway, possibly belonging to solicitors. All was okay; it was an electric contractor checking on customers.
4:32 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. reported a tall, dark Hispanic male in a lime green shirt, jeans, and boots was acting strange. Unable to locate.
June 20
10:13 AM – Hispanic male, possibly on drugs, weaving in and out of traffic in the 700 block of N. Teel Dr. The subject was ID’d and given a courtesy ride to the food bank and released to his uncle.
3:28 PM – Officer assisted DPS with a major accident call on Hwy. 173 S.
4:33 PM – Vehicle parked in trees at Devine High School. Officer made contact with driver; all was okay.
6:24 PM – Verbal disturbance between a husband and wife in the 200 block of College Ave. All was okay; officer assisted by MCSO.
