Devine Police Report July 30-Aug. 5

July 30
2:05 AM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of Pilgrim Rd. in reference to an older man with dementia in a verbal dispute with his daughter. The male was attempting to leave the property and the daughter was concerned; all was okay.
3:32 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of Fox Run reported their neighbor’s garage was open and the complainant was concerned. Officers made contact with homeowner; everything was okay.
7:58 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Hayden Ave. reported a wooden side door was damaged and broken and the mailbox damaged. A female subject in a gray t-shirt and black pants was identified, and a resident positively identified the subject as being responsible for gate damage.
11:00 PM – Complainant at Walmart reported a male and female leaving store with unpaid merchandise. The pair left in a black car.
11:00 PM – Officers served a Bexar County warrant on a male subject in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. The subject was jailed.
July 31
8:30 AM – Officer assisted DPS with a single-vehicle accident in the 900 block of Hwy. 132 S.
4:38 PM – Officers dispatched to the 1300 block of W. Hondo Ave. in reference to an open business door. The building was cleared and the business owner was contacted and a keyholder was sent. All was okay.
6:30 PM – A male subject in the 200 block of N. Transportation Dr. was cited and released for driving without a license.
8:01 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 NB in reference to a green four-door vehicle speeding; unable to locate.
9:32 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. in reference to a white SUV in the parking lot while store was closing. Vehicle left location; all was okay.
11:11 PM – Officer observed a female walking in the 900 block of E. Hondo Ave. The subject was ID’d; all was okay.
August 1
2:08 AM – Officer assisted DPS with a major accident on IH-35 SB.
8:30 AM – Officer dispatched to FM 2200 in reference to a suspicious vehicle coming towards the city. Medina County deputy made stop at FM 2200.
12:36 PM – Officer dispatched to Hwy. 173 S. in reference to an individual sitting on the side of the road; unable to locate.
August 2
6:11 AM – Complainant in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. called about a female subject parked at the back of the area.
7:01 PM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of N. Upson Dr. in reference to a disturbance between two males over a weed eater.
7:21 PM – Officer assisted DPS with a traffic stop on IH-35 NB; all was okay.
10:26 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of N. Transportation Dr. reported a dark gold truck and two sedans with unknown plate information were seen racing; unable to locate.
August 3
1:46 AM – A bumper was left at a gas station in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr.
12:19 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. reported a male subject on location outside was possibly intoxicated. The subject was waiting to be picked up.
4:01 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of Wedgewood located a phone in the back of her apartment complex.
5:38 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 in reference to a vehicle that went off the roadway; unable to locate.
7:20 PM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of S. Washington Dr. in reference to a male subject sitting at a picnic table possibly drinking a beer. The subject was ID’d and given a courtesy ride home.
August 4
7:08 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Howard advised that several items were taken from her vehicle.
7:20 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to an 18-wheeler stationary in the fast lane. All was okay; the 18-wheeler was on improved shoulder with a blow out.
11:36 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of S. Upson Dr. stated he heard someone attempting to get in his back door. Officers checked the area; all was okay.
11:44 PM – Officers dispatched to the 1000 block of Malone Dr. in reference to a female laying in the driveway. Officers made contact with the female; all was okay.
August 5
11:47 AM – Complainant on Rosewood advised someone came into her yard, broke ceramics, and egged her home.
1:39 PM – Complainant reported a grayish white Ford Mustang and black Chevy pickup displaying road rage on Hwy. 132 SB.
2:08 PM – A female subject at Walmart was arrested for Theft $100-$750 and jailed.
3:08 PM – A male subject found a wallet while walking. The wallet was returned to its owner from the police department on Aug. 6.
3:50 PM – A vehicle was stalled in the middle of the roadway in the 100 block of E. Hondo Ave.
