Devine Police Report July 23 – 29

July 23
3:30 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. reported an ice chest taken from Ace; total value $407.99. A male subject wearing red/blue Rangers jersey left in truck.
9:47 PM – Officers dispatched to the 800 block of Warhorse Dr. in reference to a female screaming in the area; unable to locate.
10:38 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of N. Teel Dr. stated two white males driving a pickup stole five catalytic converters from three different vehicles between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM on July 22.
July 24
2:40 AM – A male runaway was identified during a traffic stop. The subject was transported to the 2500 block of Castroville Rd. in San Antonio.
7:53 AM – Complainant reported a disturbance that happened earlier in the morning in the 1000 block of E. Malone Dr. involving a male subject. All was okay; parties had already been separated.
11:08 AM – Complainant reported the loss of a phone at the VFW on July 23.
11:40 AM – Officers dispatched regarding a dark in color Jeep on Renfro; unable to locate.
1:18 PM – A vehicle left a location in the 500 block of Bowman and was later picked up by a repossession service employee.
4:59 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 in reference to a white pickup causing a traffic hazard; unable to locate.
5:15 PM – Complainant at Walmart reported the theft of a phone case. Male suspect left in a vehicle.
5:30 PM – Officers dispatched to the 400 block of Adams Ave. in reference to a verbal disturbance between husband and wife.
9:49 PM – A complainant advised he heard a woman screaming in distress in the 700 block of Fay Ave.; unable to locate.
10:19 PM – A female subject at Walmart was cited and released for theft less than $100.
July 25
3:10 AM – Officer noticed a female walking a bike in the dark in the 100 block of College Ave. Subject checked through dispatch; all was okay.
3:26 AM – Officer noticed a male subject walking in the 400 block of E. Hondo Ave. Subject checked through dispatch; all was okay.
9:58 AM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. in reference to a male and female couple arguing; unable to locate. Later made contact with male; all was okay.
11:40 AM – Officers dispatched to the 1100 block of N. Windy Knoll Dr. in reference to an open 911 line. All was okay; having issues with landline.
2:02 PM – Complainant reported an assault that took place at QT during the hours of 3:00 AM to 3:40 AM. Complainant was in the hospital with a broken nose. Under investigation.
10:22 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. was upset her husband wouldn’t give her keys so she could visit her grandfather’s grave. Complainant threatened to commit suicide and was placed under an emergency detention and dropped off at a hospital.
11:42 PM – Officers dispatched to the 600 block of N. Teel Dr. in reference to a male subject walking around looking suspicious. The subject was given a ride back to Sterling Residential.
July 26
2:18 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of Jack Nicklaus Dr. advised several dogs were barking in the area and wanted the area checked; all was okay.
10:14 AM – Ingram Ready Mix rocks were located on the roadway on Hondo Ave. Employees from the business were already on location.
3:11 PM – Complainant reported a Chevy Malibu was parked at Walmart with all four doors open and no one around.
3:27 PM – A male subject at Walmart was jailed for theft.
July 27
2:43 AM – Vehicle on location in the 300 block of Hester Ave. occupied by female and male; all was okay.
4:17 AM – Complainant in the 900 block of N. Teel Dr. advised she could hear noise next to her window. Officers searched the area; unable to locate anything.
4:00 PM – Vehicle stalled in lane on IH-35 SB. Officer assisted elderly with tire change.
6:40 PM – Officer dispatched to Libold Dr. in reference to a vehicle parked on the roadway. Owner located and picked up vehicle.
9:58 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of N. Bright Dr. in reference to possibly two gunshots in the area. Area searched; unable to locate.
10:20 PM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office with two young children on Hwy. 173 S.
11:20 AM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. in reference to business lights turning off and on numerous times. Building appeared secured.
11:29 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of W. Moore Ave. reported a male subject went to an apartment requesting they call PD. Complainant advised the male subject was bleeding from his forehead.
July 28
12:43 AM – Complainant in the 400 block of W. Benton Ave. reported a male riding around on his bicycle and trying to cause problems with him.
4:35 AM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. in reference to a white truck in parking lot; all was okay.
2:40 PM – Officers dispatched to the 300 block of W. Moore Ave. in reference to a verbal disturbance between son and ex-boyfriend. All parties departed.
9:36 PM – Officer dispatched to Onion in reference to flashlights seen in the 500 block of N. Teel Dr. Officer searched the area and was unable to locate individuals.
July 29
2:43 AM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 NB in reference to a white hatchback sedan brake checking 18-wheelers. Vehicle exited city limits and was unable to locate.
2:53 AM – Verbal disturbance between a male and female in the 100 block of N. Upson Dr. Both parties separated for the night.
4:15 AM – Officers assisted DPS with pursuit of a silver Ford Explorer on IH-35 NB. Bailout at mile marker 125. Five subjects detained and two fled into field. Border Patrol made location.
6:41 PM – Officer served two outstanding warrants from Atascosa County on a male subject in the 600 block of N. Teel Dr. Subject was jailed.
9:55 PM – Officers dispatched to the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to an 18-wheeler disconnected from tractor, blocking roadway. Towing service made location to remove from road.
