Devine Police Report August 27-September 3

August 27
3:39 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of W. Benton Ave. reported a suspicious male subject walking in the area. The subject was ID’d.
3:46 PM – Disabled vehicle in roadway on W. College Ave. Vehicle ran out of gas. It was removed from the roadway and parked in the 200 block of S. Windy Knoll Dr.
August 28
11:44 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of S. Jamison Dr. reported her ex-boyfriend was at the residence and she wanted him to leave.
11:44 AM – Complainant backed into someone and was requesting a blue form.
4:40 PM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a possible disturbance in a parking lot between a male and female; unable to locate.
7:10 PM – Officer dispatched to E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a silver Ford with two males seen in a possible rolling disturbance. Vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on E. Hondo Ave.; unable to locate.
7:31 PM – Complainant reported a gray Chevy Tahoe with a luggage rack unable to maintain a lane on IH-35 northbound near mile marker 122; all was okay.
10:48 PM – A vehicle was parked over two hours in a parking lot in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. Officers advised male subject to depart location.
August 29
3:17 AM – Officers dispatched to the 400 block of Stevens St. in reference to male subjects walking with flashlights. Officers patrolled the area; everything appeared okay.
7:58 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of Monticello Cr. reported a work truck stolen from the location between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. The vehicle was recovered in San Antonio.
10:08 AM – A vehicle in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. was broken into between 7:00 PM and 9:00 AM. LED headlights and code reader taken. No forced entry observed.
August 30
12:45 AM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to an employee and customer arguing over beer sales. Customer kicked over sign and slammed door. Left prior to officer’s arrival.
August 31
2:34 AM – Green light out for eastbound traffic on Hwy. 173 S. Officer advised dispatch to notify TxDot.
7:00 AM – Officers assisted DPS on a traffic stop in the 300 block of N. Upson Dr. The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance PG 1 < 1 gram and marijuana < 2 ounces. A pipe was placed in evidence.
7:06 PM – Complainant in the 1200 block of Devine Dr. reported a verbal dispute with a male. Left prior to officers’ arrival.
September 1
9:49 AM – A female subject cashed checks at a store in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. that were previously electronically deposited.
7:45 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of N. Bright Dr. in reference to a gray vehicle parked in the area. The area was searched; unable to locate.
September 2
9:55 AM – A male told complainant in the 700 block of Tuttle Dr. he received a call from a male subject stating he was going to go by and shoot up his mom’s house.
9:55 AM – Suspicious male walking in the 500 block of Zig Zag Ave. carrying a bag with pliers and a long stick with a cutter. All was okay; officer made contact with the male subject and ID’d him. Subject advised he was walking to a friend’s residence to help with some work.
5:20 PM – Report of a couple possibly arguing at the Little League field.
September 3
8:05 AM – Pile of dirt on roadway in the 700 block of Jack Nicklaus Dr. without cones. Contact was made with landscaper, who advised he was putting dirt in yard and would have it gone by the end of the day. Also put cones out.
10:10 AM – Officer dispatched to Oak Hill Dr. in reference to parked 18-wheelers obstructing view of oncoming traffic when attempting to leave parking lot.
6:02 PM – Disturbance between two males in the 700 block of Rossville Rd. Parties separated.
