Devine Police Report

April 30
5:10 AM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to an 18-wheeler stalled in roadway. Driver was able to get truck started and moved off roadway.
9:04 AM – Traffic light on Oak Hill Dr. staying on red. Officer called TxDot and left message.
4:10 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Bentson Dr. reported a male on location acting suspicious. Officer made location; everything okay.
11:53 PM – Officers dispatched to the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. in reference to loud music. Officers advised resident to turn down music for the night.
May 1
3:15 PM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Oak Hill Dr. in reference to 18 -wheelers on both sides of the road. The majority of vehicles were removed and the rest were tagged.
8:32 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Upson Dr. reported shots fired; unable to locate.
8:48 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Dixon Dr. reported children laughing and playing too loudly; unable to locate.
9:24 PM – Complainant reported two male subjects driving recklessly on the golf course in a golf cart.
May 2
1:08 PM – Officers dispatched to Howell Ave. in reference to a black vehicle speeding up and down the road; unable to locate.
8:00 PM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. in reference to two males involved in a verbal disturbance. One unidentified male pulled a knife on another male.
May 3
1:31 AM – Complainant is a repo driver and had orders to pick up a vehicle in the 900 block of Dove Ave. Homeowner jumped in vehicle and called two other people to residence, who got in truck. Complainant left without vehicle.
1:55 PM – A male subject was walking around the area of the 100 block of W. College Ave. Officer made contact and identified the subject; all was okay.
3:20 PM – Juvenile male 7th grade student at Devine Middle School in possession of drug paraphernalia.
3:21 PM – A male subject at Walmart was cited and released for theft.
9:28 PM – Complainant in the 400 block of Hickory Hwy. reported a black F-150 passing by.
May 4
1:05 PM – Juvenile male 10th grade student at Devine High School cited for narcotics offense.
1:36 PM – Stop sign and street sign knocked down on S. Upson Dr.
4:29 PM – A male driver in the 400 block of Transportation Dr. was cited and released for driving without a license.
8:06 PM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of Mesquite Ave. in reference to an active disturbance between husband and wife. The husband was cited and released for assault by contact.
8:19 PM – Officer assisted DPS with a major accident on IH-35.
10:02 PM – Complainant reported a black SUV parked behind apartment on Wedgewood Way; all was okay.
May 5
1:15 PM – Juvenile male student at Devine Middle School cited for minor in possession of tobacco.
1:29 PM – Westbound green light out in the 1300 block of Hwy. 173 N. TxDot notified.
2:59 PM – Juvenile male student at Devine Middle School cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
7:07 PM – Alarm company advised they observed a male enter property in the 1200 block of Hwy. 173. Officer made location; unable to make contact with keyholder.
May 6
9:22 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of W. Hondo Ave. was called an obscene name by a male subject.
5:04 PM – Officer dispatched to the 400 block of Hickory Hwy. in reference to a black Chrysler driving around the area.
