Devine Learning Center August graduates

The 2021 Devine Learning Center Spring Class celebrated their commencement exercises on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Devine Student Activity Center. The ceremony recognized four students who have completed their High School diploma.
Jodie Dziernowski, principal of the learning center led the students through the ceremony.
“I stand here before you today with a group of inspiring young men and women who can bring to mind only one word… perseverance,” she said at the beginning of the occasion. “I have known most of these students for many years. I have seen them grow from being young teenagers to young adults…. All of these students had made it to the senior year in high school with a few lost credits along the way…when… what I like to say is “life happened” and again it got them off track. So close. With this opportunity given by both Dr. Grandjean and the Members of the Board, all these students picked themselves up once again and persevered! Mrs. Stanton, Mr. Oropeza, and I are so proud of them and all so honored to have been able to work with them. Welcome to the Graduation ceremonies of the Spring Class of 2021.”
Dziernowski then certified the students as having completed the graduation requirements to the school board and superintendent and they proceeded with the presentation.
Students who received their diploma were Enrique Martinez, Son of Robert Martinez and Beulah Hernandez; Zoe Isabella Jaramillo, Daughter of Jorge Jaramillo; Chasity Nicholle Reyes, Daughter of Eva Martinez; Jacinto Jay Solis, Grandson of Jacinto Solis and Nora Solis.
