Daniel Mendez, Sr. of Natalia, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the age of 65.
He was born December 26, 1951 in Big Springs, Texas to Casimiro and Andrea (Martinez) Mendez. Both of his parents precede him, along with thirteen siblings.
On January 17, 1969 he married the former Janie Fraga in Natalia, Texas.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Janie (Fraga) Mendez; sons, Daniel Jr.and Nicholas; daughters, Rebecca Del Toro and Angelica Ortiz; sister, Manuela Mendez; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass was held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Natalia, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
