Connie Lea Nixon entered the gates of heaven Friday, October 1, 2021. She was born September 27, 1958.
She was a devoted wife and mother, daughter, sister, and mother-in-law. Connie spent over 30 years working as the secretary/treasurer of Bethel Assembly of God Church and Nixon Construction. Other employers included Medina Valley State Bank and Chaparral Ford.
She is preceded in death by grandparents L.O. “Red” (Donnie) Rucker and Bertha Rucker, Wayne and Mary Clawson (Granny and Grandpa Clawson).
Those left to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of 39 years Alvin Nixon, Son Kellen and girlfriend Lindsey Fernandez, Parents Pete and Sissy Clawson, Sister Sherry Hebert (Reed) Jennifer Clawson, Niece Shay Burwell (Trystin) and great niece Jolene Burwell, Jim and Georganna and cousins, as well as many other family members and friends including the extended Nixon family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 2:00PM till 9:00PM at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of life will be held Friday, October 8, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Devine with interment to follow in Evergreen cemetery.
