Clara G. Lopez, 92, passed away on November 1, 2020, in Atascosa, TX. She was born on August 12, 1928, in Atascosa to parents Pablo Gomez and Clara Gomez.
Clara was a resident of Illinois for over 50 years. They retired and moved back to Texas. She had a love of flowers, especially roses. She also loved to sew and make many quilts and clothing.
Clara was preceded in death by parents Pablo and Clara Gomez; brothers, Antonio Gomez and Adolfo Gomez.
Clara is survived by her husband of 72 years, Juan Lopez Sr.; sons, Juan Lopez Jr., Robert (Judy) Lopez; daughters, Christina (Richard) Johnson, Sarah Lopez (Joe Rodriguez); son, Armando (Jean) Lopez; daughter, Patricia Lopez; grandson, Eric Johnson; granddaughters, Laura Lopez, Ruby Lopez-Rodriguez (Erik Juarez); grandson, Stephen Lopez.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2020, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home chapel in Lytle, TX. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Andrews Catholic Church with interment to follow at Lytle Community Cemetery, Lytle, TX.
