Ciavarra Elementary and Intermediate participating in National Dads to School Day Aug. 28

Ciavarra Elementary and Devine Intermediate invite dads and other male role models to bring students to the first day of school Aug. 28.

Ciavarra Elementary and Devine Intermediate Schools are joining the National Dads to School Day for male role models to bring children to school the first day, Monday, August 28.
“We want to emphasis the importance of male role models in children’s lives,” Mrs. Brenda Gardner, CES principal, said.
It is a time for all the males in a child’s life to shine. It is important for children to know that the males in their lives think education is important.
“We know that male role models tend to encourage risk-taking and to be challenging, playful and physical. These are important things for all children to know,” Blain Martin, DIS principal, said.
We will have members of Devine PD, Medina County Sheriff’s office, coaches and athletes, members of the military and other men and women as greeters at the drop-off spots at both campuses.
We will have refreshments for all the participants in the intermediate library.
