Chano Alaquinez III

Chano Alaquinez III, age 71, of Devine, Texas, has entered into eternal rest on May 17, 2024.


He was a huge Washington Redskins and Texas A&M fan, win or lose! Chano worked tirelessly for the City of Devine for forty-two years before retiring. He was a loving, caring, and giving father, grandfather, and brother, and was a friend to all. He had a beautiful heart of gold, and will be missed by those that knew and loved him. To know Chano was to love him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chano, and Gregoria Alaquinez; son, Leroy Alaquinez; wife, Rosa Alaquinez; sisters, Martha, Bessie, and Juana; and brother, Frank.
Chano is survived by his loving girlfriend, Maria Jimenez; son, Rolando Chavera (Elide); daughters, Rosario Chavera, Alamar Fernandez (Joe), and grandchildren, Veronica Gonzales (Ray), Elleana Casias (Arthur), Roxi Ramirez (Henry), Valerie Garcia (David), Lorena Vera (Ismael), great grandchildren; Damian Gonzales (Alexis), Henry Ramirez, Jr., Jacob Casias, Analia Casias, Izabella Tijerina, and Gianna Ramirez; his great-great grandson, Kaiden Gonzales. He is also survived by his sisters, Antonia, Lupe, Rosario, Isabel; and brothers, Joe and Gregorio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m with a Rosary recited at 7:00p.m. in the Funeral Chapel in Primrose Funeral Services in Devine, Texas. A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 10:00a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine, Texas. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Devine, Texas.
