Excuse the presumptiveness of putting the Arabian freshman record at 14-1 as Devine was 13-1 before going into last night’s District 29-4A affair against the Lady Mavs of Pearsall. However, this squad has been on a tremendous roll this season as their only loss was against a JV squad from D’Hanis.

The Devine HS Class of 1973 will celebrate their 50th Reunion at Homecoming on October 13th and 14th! On Friday night at the Homecoming football game at Warhorse Stadium, they will be introduced down on the track at halftime, then again on Saturday afternoon. They will present their 50th Reunion program during the HC festivities at the VFW, hosted by the Devine Ex-Students/Teachers Association (DExSTA).

The term “dirty laundry on the field” normally refers to a penalty flag that has been thrown by one of the game officials. Well, there was just a small load of laundry Friday at Warhorse Stadium as only 8 flags were tossed all night, with just three of those flipped Devine’s direction.

Arabian, Warhorse XC TEAM CHAMPS in Falls City; Carr wins individual championship; Alvarez runner-up

Jaden Alvarez took 2nd, Devo Dixon 4th and Jesse House 5th. The Wahorse CC Team won the Championship with 34 points.

The Devine Cross Country teams pulled off dual championships in Falls City last Saturday as the Arabians scored a season-low 32 points while the Warhorses scored a season-low as well with 34 points.
