Lady Pirates Martinez, Pitino, Sevier, & Whitfield THSCA Academic All-State

Jerel Beaty
Staff Writer
Four Lady Pirate senior basketball team members gained recognition for their efforts in the classrooms of Lytle High School as Amelia Martinez, Lola Pitino, Calyssa Sevier, and Katara Whitfield made the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team.
THSCA tabulates graduating seniors’ grade point average (92+), class rank, and standardized test scores in placing them on a team that fits those demographics. THSCA does not factor in a school’s classification, and there are no limits to how many may be included at each level.
All four of these students made the Honorable Mention Academic All-State Team.
Congratulations Amelia, Lola, Calyssa, and Katara for being the true definition of what a student-athlete is supposed to be.
