Meet 13-year-old Amaris, who is a very bright child and outgoing teen, with a great smile, which lights up any room she is in. Amaris is very spunky and enjoys making people laugh.

Amaris is always excited for a new adventures and enjoys hikes, the beach, and trying all kinds of food, with a taste for spicy. She looks forward to activities, such as playing outdoors in parks, eating out, watching movies, and loves shopping. When inside, she enjoys quiet time watching movies, working on crafts, and journaling.

She is very talented when it comes to braiding her own hair, and she is a fan of “Crocs”, and seeks to have a pair to match her outfits. Amaris wants to take part in cheerleading and play on the volleyball team.

Meet Keagan

Kegan, an eleven year old who loves to entertain himself and those around him with his creativity & personality.

As a ball of energy, he finds joy in staying active, whether it’s running or walking outside, as he loves being in the open air, as being outdoors brings him warmth and happiness.

Kegan has a great appetite, and like most children, he has a sweet tooth for candies and chips. One of his favorite foods is chicken nuggets.

An ideal family for Kegan would be one with parents who could be very attentive to him, and spend a lot of one -on-one time with him, helping him to develop his life skills as he grows up. But most importantly a family who will love him forever.

Meet 16-year-old Hayden

Hayden is a very high-spirited young guy, who is often referred to as the funniest child ever, as he loves to joke around with his peers and make those around him smile. He is also a really good listener, and that is what makes him a great friend to his peers.
Like many children his age, Hayden loves playing video games especially on his Nintendo Switch. One of his favorite things to do is to go swimming as he really enjoys time in the pool.
He also loves to use his creative side, building and constructing ideas he has, of things he designs. When it comes to eating, Hayden loves to be adventurous, trying all kinds of foods, and looks forward to expanding taste pallet.
Hayden enjoys attending school, as he likes to learn about the world around him.
Hayden hopes to have a forever family that will encourage his interests and provide him the memories of sharing in new family activities. When asked, he says he would like a two parent family, where a mom and dad can help love & guide him as he grows.

Make a house a home…HANK Inc featured on TV, searching for foster parents

Ever wanted to foster, but don’t have a large enough home or money for required repairs? HANK INC, which operates three community foster homes in Medina County, is searching for loving adults who would like to foster sibling groups in one of their three community homes in Devine and Hondo.
Currently one of the homes is full, but the other two homes are in need of foster parents to make the house a home for a loving sibling group in need of a place to stay.
Their third home is opening soon.

Hopes and dreams of being together…

Samuel who is 14-years old, is described by his caseworker as being friendly, assertive, and athletic. He enjoys playing basketball, football, and running track. Samuel is a child that loves to interact with people and makes friends easily. He is charismatic and does all he can to accomplish goals he has set for himself.
Ethan is a 13-year old boy, who is a caring, adventurous, and has a great sense of humor. As he loves to joke around and interact with people, he is very engaging.  Ethan also loves to play sports, with his favorites being; basketball & football. And like many children his age, he loves playing all types of video games.
Aubrey is a joyous, energetic, talkative 9-year-old girl, who loves to create art projects, play with her dolls, and help people. Aubrey loves to interact with everyone she meets. Aubrey’s smile lights up the room and her personality is one of a kind.
Samuel, Ethan, and Aubrey are an amazing sibling group seeking to be adopted all together, and are excited about finding a loving forever home.
These children are very bonded to each other and will do well with a family who will share that loving bond with them, as they guide them into adulthood. Christian loves animals and adventures…

Christian is one of the estimated 117,000 children waiting to meet his forever family. Sadly, every year about 20,000 kids exit foster care without being adopted.

Christian is a friendly, sweet, active ten year old, who enjoys playing outdoors with anything sports related, going swimming, and just being around other children and adults.
Christian like many children loves to play video games on the play station and lists his favorite snacks such as Takis, Mexican sweet bread, and anything spicy, he is also a fan of Anime with Dragon Ball Z being one he enjoys the most.
Christian loves going to the zoo, as he is fascinated with all of the exotic and rare animals he can see. A zoo trip there will always bring the biggest smile to his face.
Christian is very excited of the idea of being adopted and says he’s always wanted older siblings as he would love to be the youngest in the home. He would also like to have the older siblings & cousins to act as role models.

There are currently 117,000 children waiting to be adopted in the United States. They range in age from infants to 21 years old (in some states). The average age of a child in foster care is more than 8 years old.
Nearly one-quarter of children in foster care will be adopted, many by their foster parents.
However, each year, approximately 20,000 youth will age out of the foster care system when they turn 18 or 21, or when they finish high school (depending upon the state in which they live.) These children are at increased risk of poor educational outcomes, experiencing homelessness, and being unemployed.

Basic Requirements
The prospective foster/adoptive parents may be single or married and must:
be at least 21 years of age, financially stable, and responsible mature adults,
complete an application (staff will assist you, if you prefer),
share information regarding their background and lifestyle,
provide relative and non-relative references,
show proof of marriage and/or divorce (if applicable),
agree to a home study which includes visits with all household members,
allow staff to complete a criminal history background check and an abuse/neglect check on all adults in the household, and
attend free training to learn about issues of abused and neglected children.

Sisters Maria and Destiny looking for a forever home together

Meet 15 year old Maria, and 12 year old Destiny, who are sisters with a loving and fun connection to each other, as they’re continuously laughing and enjoying each other’s company.

Maria is outgoing and prides herself in her big personality, while Destiny is a bit shy at first, together anyone can see just how bright their personalities can be.

Maria has an interest in the Military or perhaps a career in Law Enforcement, Destiny isn’t yet sure what she would like as a future career, but she enjoys learning mathematics

Together they enjoy trying new experiences, such as going to arcades, sports games, and visiting local attractions. Both girls love to watch movies or getting crafty. Maria prefers hands on projects, and Destiny favors in improving her art skills in painting with acrylics.

Armando loves camping, fishing adventures

Meet Armando, an 11-year-old with love for all things outdoors, as he enjoys camping, fishing, swimming and taking walks to discover nature.  On his list of new adventures to try is visiting a cavern and paddling in a kayak … all activities he would like to share with his forever family. 

Armando also likes playing frisbee, golf, and enjoys any chance for a competitive competition of it to show off his throwing skills.

He also likes playing card games and listening to music, especially hip hop and R&B. At school Armando has done very well in Math and Art class.

Armando is seeking to become part of a traditional family with siblings. He would love a family to show him love and attention and help guide him into adulthood. Little “Jedi” carries the power of a smile

Jedidiah is a funny and playful teen. He likes to go by the nickname “Jedi” and he carries the power of his smile, which in turn makes those around him smile as well, as he has a happy and playful demeanor.

 Some of his favorite things are the “Minions,” dinosaurs, and seeing movies of his favorite characters.  Jedi has a contagiously bright and big smile.

 Jedi gets along very well with other children and adults. He also likes to stay active, and likes to play, as he has a lot of energy.

 Jedi can be very shy at first but slowly will warm up to someone when gains some familiarity and trust.  He will do best with a family that has experience working with children who need constant attention, as Jedi will require care, and supervision throughout his entire life.
