Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, Natalia High School students Samantha Sanchez and Priscilla Seaton will be the first student representatives to the NISD School Board.

Devine ISD Board approves raises; 11 teachers retire or resign


Initially, Devine ISD wasn’t sure if they would be filling all positions of teachers and staff who had retired or resigned this school year, but Superintendent Scott Sostarich and Finance Director Shannon were happy to announce at the board meeting on June 5 that they will be able to fill those positions.

5th grade recorder choir students perform at interactive orchestra concert

Members of the 5th grade recorder choir are: Kody Blanquiz, Zoe Ortiz, Rylee Esquibel, Lillian Schenk, Kaydence Scott, Kolton Teeter, Cynthia Maldonado, Catelyn Flores, Skye Samson, Esperanza Carrillo, Saidi Huth, Jordan Buvinghausen, Eva Ozer, Savannah Shuler, Ofmara Vargas Chavez, Fancy Patrick, Jerrica Patrick, Kate Robinson, and Kirara Yracheta.

This year, students of the Devine Intermediate School 5thGrade Recorder Choir collaborated with the San Antonio Symphony in a music education program provided by Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute (WMI). Natalia robotics team places at State

The 4th place trophy was brought home by Natalia’s Invention Team Hydrotech, consisting of Andrew Walsh, Priscilla Seaton, Sean Schroeder, and Anastasia Rodriguez. Their entry was a robotic low-water crossing system to provide safety for drivers in flooding conditions.

Natalia ISD approves interlocal agreement with Medina County, purchases AVID curriculum set

Natalia ISD Board members approved an interlocal agreement with Medina County for the collection of delinquent taxes and agreed to bring the AVID program back to the district in the Regular meeting held May 8.
