Natalia Police Report

On 11/25/2024 Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of TX-132 for a burglary of a building report. Officers arrived and were informed by the building owner that the building had been abandoned for over one year and they are not certain when the building was broken into.
On 11/26/2024 Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Bartlett for a large dog running at large and harassing pedestrians. Officers arrived to notify the owner and issue her a citation.
On 11/27/2024 Officers were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of Miller Street for a welfare concern. Arriving officers saw that the person in question was well.
On 11/27/2024 Officers responded to the 2500 block of TX-132 for a disturbance report. Officers found a drunk male on private property causing a disturbance. Officers had a family member take the drunk male home to another city.
On 11/28/2024 Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of 6th Street for a report of a disturbance with a weapon. Upon officers arriving they found a male slightly bleeding from his neck claiming that he and his girlfriend were only verbally arguing and that no one had any weapons. The male claimed that he cut himself on the neck when running through the brush.
On 11/28/2024 Officers were dispatched to the 2200 of TX-132 for a dog at-large. Officers arrived at the location, caught the dog and moved it to our city kennels.

Monday, November 25
2:42 AM – 19700 Blk. IH 35 – Officers discovered an open door and secured it while performing a business check.
12:05 PM – Lytle PD – Officer spoke to a male regarding equipment left at John’s Small Engine Repair about two years ago, the location is now out of business.
2:20 PM – Assist Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office – 700 Blk. Las Palomas Dr. – Officers responded outside the city limits of Lytle for a report of a missing 3-year-old female and a 4-year-old male. The children were located at a neighbor’s house.
6:33 PM – 15300 Blk. Main St. – Officers responded to an unwanted customer who left the area before the officer’s arrival.
6:40 PM – 14600 Blk. FM 2790 – Officers responded but could not locate the female.
9:32 PM – 19300 McDonald St. – Officers responded to unlock an Isuzu Rodeo, but the vehicle left before the arrival.
10:49 PM – 19800 Blk. IH 35 – Officers responded to a male and female refusing to leave, resulting in a verbal disturbance. The pair left the area before the officer’s arrival.
Tuesday, November 26
6:10 PM – 15200 Blk. Rodeo St. – Officer responded to a 911 hangup but was unable to locate the caller.
4:08 PM – 15000 Blk. Main St. – Officer took a report that a male that an envelope containing $2,400 was either misplaced or taken from his vehicle.
10:18 PM – 19900 Blk. FM 3175 – Officers responded to a dispute with a consumer who was dropped off at the facility.

November 22
11:30AM – late entry – occurred 11/21/24 1637 to 1646 hrs. Stalled vehicle oversized load, vehicle moved out of roadway.
12:27PM – Officer dispatched to Hondo Ave for major accident.
November 23
0:33AM – Complainant on Hondo Ave called for possibly disturbance inside the store. Unable to locate.
5:19AM – Complainant on IH 35 S called in reference to male subject on bicycle that was asked to leave.
20:29PM – Complainant called in reference to loud party in area of Warhorse, couple of residences in area having gatherings but none excessively loud.
23:05PM – Officer dispatched to Webb Ave for suspicious activity. Plywood removed from front door and door was ajar. Property owned by City of Devine.
November 24
13:54PM – Complainant on Ingram Rd called in reference to male subject walking around with a shot gun. Unable to locate.
November 25
9:44AM – Complainant on LC Martin Dr called in reference to a hitchhiker asking tenants for rides out of town. Officer made location and subject had already departed from location.
18:04PM – Complainant on Dove called in reference to a black pickup truck driving fast up the street.
21:41PM – Officer dispatched to Hondo Ave for a minor accident.

Natalia Police Report

11/19/2024 – Officers responded to a business located at the 21000 block of FM 471 S. for a of a person report panhandling on property, officers arrived and issued the person a Criminal Trespass Warning.
11/19/2024 – Officers responded to the 21000 block of FM 471 S. for a major vehicle accident report. Upon review of nearby surveillance cameras officers saw that two vehicles arrived at a stop sign with three second difference, both vehicles left the stop position at the same time, causing the vehicles to collide in the middle of the intersection.
11/20/2024 – Officers were dispatched to the Intersection of FM 471 and IH 35 Frontage road for a traffic hazard, Officers arrived and saw a stranded tractor and trailer blocking the intersection. Officers called for a tow truck and the tractor and trailer were moved to allow traffic flow.
11/20/2024 – Officers responded to a business located at the 21000 block of FM 471 S. for a report of a person sleeping on the ground between two parked semi vehicles, officers arrived and issued the person a Criminal Trespass Warning and asked him to leave the property.
11/21/2024 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 of 7th street for a report of an intoxicated person. Officers arrived and saw the intoxicated person causing a disturbance. The intoxicated person launched and assaulted a person nearby. The intoxicated person was arrested and taken to jail.
11/22/2024 – Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of TX-132 for a report of a possible vehicle theft in progress. Officers arrived and found a person working on his vehicle with no indication that any crimes were being committed.
11/23/2024 – Officer responded to a call for a down wire near the intersection Kearney and 5th street. Upon the officers arrival it was determined that this was a possible cable television wire with no active current running through it and not presenting any danger to the public. The wire was rolled up and moved off the street.

Monday, November 18
12:26 AM – Railroad St. – Officers responded to a stopped train. The conductor said the repairs would be completed soon. The train restarted ten minutes later.
9:00 AM – 18800 Blk. N. Prairie St. – Officer responded to a report of a downed power line. The internet line was moved out of the roadway.
9:00 AM – Lytle PD – Officer fingerprinted a female for employment purposes.
1:45 PM – County Road 6710 – Officer responded to a suspicious white Kia SUV that had been seen in the area throughout the day but could not be located.
Tuesday, November 19
8:10 AM – Ruiz Foster Way @ Cottage St. – Officer observed a stop sign that was upside down. Lytle Public Works repaired the sign.
2:20 PM – 19700 Blk. IH 35 – Officer responded to a report of an illegally parked vehicle but could not find it.
4:25 PM – N. Prairie St. @ Adams St. – Officer responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident.
6:37 PM – 15100 Blk. Main St. – Officer responded to a civil matter concerning a vehicle repossession.
7:19 PM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officers responded to an unwanted customer.

22:35PM – Officer recovered stolen 2001 Honda Shadow on Tuttle Dr from SAPD. Friendly Glenn’s impounded.
November 17
15:10PM – Complainant on Hondo Ave called in reference to male sleeping in grass. Male had started walking way by the time the officer made location. Late entry – occurred between 0810 hours and 0820 hours.
November 18
6:10AM – Officer dispatched to IH 35 for two vehicle accident.
18:23PM – Officer dispatched to Hondo Ave for two vehicle accident.
November 19
16:38PM – Complainant on Oak Hill Dr reported that a couple were yelling and arguing with gas attendant. All okay.
November 20
0:45AM – Complainant reported a loose brown cow near roadway of Allmann Dr.
3:33AM – Officer assisted DPS with one vehicle accident and a fence.
10:19AM – Officer dispatched to MM124 for a minor accident. Late entry – occurred at 0721 hours through 1011 hours.

September 27
4:04 AM — Car accident at Windy Knoll Drive in Hondo when women crashed a gray Ford truck into an unattended car.
1:37 PM — Car accident at Devine High School.
2:10 PM — Officers called to Teel Drive for an assault case. Complainant stated that a man put his hands on her. The man was jailed.
5:52 PM — Minor accident at 700 Hondo Avenue in Hondo.
September 28
1:30 PM — Officers alerted of phone theft at Colonial Parkway. Charges pending as manager retrieves video footage.
1:30 PM — Complaints received about a parked 18 wheeler at Coker Avenue in Hondo.
September 29
2:57 PM — Complaints received from Oakhill in Hondo for parked 18 wheelers. Both trucks were moved.
September 30
6:12 AM — Officers called for suspicious activity on Windy Knoll Drive in Hondo. Referenced activity was a man in a blue trench coat playing fetch with his dogs.

12:13 AM – 15400 Blk. Houston St. – Officer discovered a parked vehicle in front of a residence where a vehicle had previously been stolen. The occupants were the residents of the home.
6:40 AM – 19500 Blk. IH 35 – Officer responded to a homeless male sleeping on the sidewalk. The male agreed to leave.
9:00 AM – IH 35 N. Frontage Rd. @ Fm 3175 – Officer responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident.
1:15 PM – 19500 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer spoke to a complainant regarding the theft of 952 gallons of diesel valued at $2,846.48.
3:38 PM – Lytle PD – Officer released found property to the owner.
4:25 PM – FM 3175 @ Short St. – Officers responded to a female who had left Camino Real Crisis Center. Everything was okay.
5:20 PM – 19900 Blk. FM 3175 – Officers responded and transported two males to the San Antonio Behavioral Hospital on Mental Health Detention Warrants.
11:58 PM – Railroad St. @ Main St. – Officer observed a vehicle flashing its lights. Everything was okay.

5:46 AM – Assist Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office – FM 3175 @ IH 35 N. – Officer responded to look for a male involved in a verbal disturbance but was canceled while en route.
8:40 AM – Lytle PD – Officer received an Apple Air Tag that was found at John Lott Park.
9:10 AM – 14000 Blk. FM 476 – Officer conducted a follow-up for an accident that occurred on 9/25/2024.
1:33 PM – S. Somerset St. @ Mesquite St. – Officer responded to a report of a verbal disturbance but could not locate it.
3:10 PM – 20100 Blk. IH 35 – Officer responded to an active alarm that was set off accidentally.

09/30/24  Citizen walked into the police station to report that her ex- was attempting to contact her after a judge had set a no contact order, and an officer is investigating the complaint.

09-30-24 Officers responded to the intersection of FM 471 S. @ IH 35 for a stranded motorist assist, officer physically pushed the vehicle off the road allowing traffic to continue flowing.

10-01-24 Officers were dispatched to a local business to check on a tucker that had not made his periodic check in with his trucking company, officers arrived and saw that the trucker was sleeping and all was well

10-01-24 While on city patrol officers encountered a pedestrian and as the officer drove closer to the pedestrian the officer noticed something in his hands, the officer asked what he had in his hands and the pedestrian admitted to carrying drugs, the officer addressed the crime.   

10-01-24 Natalia Police Department and the City of Natalia sponsored the National Night Out event, we had a wonderful turnout, people enjoyed the Music of DJ Chris, The Ice Cream, and popcorn.  The Natalia Fire Department was also present, their Firefighters sponsored a wonderful water hose interactive children’s game.
