Busy with arrests

Hello from your friends at the Lytle Police Department, here is our latest update on activities from last week: We only had 38 calls for service, which would be on the low side for us. Officers conducted 39 traffic stops and 19 of those resulted in citations with the remaining 20 getting either verbal or written warnings.
We kept busy with a few arrests last week. On Monday Sgt. Hanson responded to a domestic disturbance and arrested a male for assault bodily injury (family member). On Thursday evening Sgt. Hanson responded to HEB Plus for shoplifters. He cited and released two females for Class C theft. They had about $80 worth of stuff that ranged from antifungal cream to Ramen Noodles. On Friday morning Ofc. Lopez conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver after he found marijuana and THC oil in his possession. The fellow was friendly and a good sport, he said he picked up some of the stuff when he was in Colorado. I told him what happens in Colorado should stay in Colorado. On Saturday morning Ofc. Lopez observed a person he knew to be wanted, he arrested him on an outstanding assault warrant out of Medina Co. Capt. Reyes closed out the week with a traffic stop that resulted in the driver being arrested on an assault warrant out of Bexar Co.
The only property crime reported, other than the shoplifters at HEB, was a criminal mischief at the John Lott Park men’s room. Somebody broke the urinal; they pulled it right off the wall. Now if I were to ever decide to be a vandal I can guarantee you that it would never involve manhandling a urinal, that’s disgusting.
