Betty Ann Bankston Currie, age 86 of San Antonio, Texas passed away August 21, 2018. She was born January 13, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas.
Betty is a former Vice President and Auditor at Valley Hi National Bank. She graduated from Brackenridge High School.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents Cecilia Constance Abernathy Bankston and Ralph Edward Bankston; husband William Malcomb Currie; sons Glen Heiman, Johnny Heiman, and Jimmy Towers.
Betty is survived by her son Maury Heiman III of Spring Branch, Texas; daughter Linda Calame and husband Richard of Bigfoot, Texas; sister Georgia Bankston of Foley, Alabama; sister Barbara Wiljeck of Finton, Missouri; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, August 28 from 5-9 p.m. at Mission Park South, 1700 S.E. Military Dr. in San Antonio. A rosary was said at 7 p.m. at Mission Park Chapel. Funeral services were on Wednesday, August 29 at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel at Mission Park South. Interment followed funeral services at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mission Park South.
