Carol was born in Fredericksburg, TX on July 19, 1938. She met the love of her life, Garret Rogers, at Huisache Avenue Baptist Church, and married soon after.

He was born on February 13, 1972 to Mary Roberta & Roy Edward Walters in San Antonio, Texas.
Rodney Taylor Edge
June 8, 1967 — January 12, 2024
Rodney Taylor Edge, 56, passed away on January 12, 2024, in Bigfoot, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father; Lelton Junior Edge, and granddaughter; Samus Michele Ferguson.
Rodney is survived by his mother, Bettie Dell; his wife of 35 years, Amy; son; Taylor, daughters; Lauren (Andrew), Hannah, son; James; and grandson; Aran Ferguson.
Private services will be held.

Mark Andrews Reus
Mark Andrew Reus of Hondo, age 50, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024.
Born March 29, 1973, in Hondo, he was the son of William H. and Margaret Dornbush Reus.
Mark was the managing partner of Reus Grain, LP. He served on the Medina County Farm Bureau Board and was currently serving on the Texas Farm Credit Board. Mark was a big supporter of HABA and a top 10 donor of the MCJLS.
Roy Kenneth Evans
Roy Kenneth Evans, age 80, of Devine, Texas, peacefully passed away at his home on December 3, 2023. With his loving family by his side, he entered eternal rest after a long battle with cancer.
Roy was born September 27, 1943, in Frio County to Paul and Lucille Evans. He and Margarita Guajardo were married in 1965 in New Braunfels, Texas. Together they had seven children, all of whom he loved dearly.
Roy enjoyed spending time with his family, watching western movies and going on long country drives.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Margarita Evans of Devine; children, Louisa Garza, Reynaldo “Rey” Aguilar, Maria Moreno (Rudy), Fermina Moreno (Alfredo), Santiago “Jim” Aguilar (Janie), Debra Lynn Evans Frausto and Donna Lou Evans; 31 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Paul and Lucille Evans, and his sister, Lorna Jean Walters.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, January 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, 2006 Ave M, Hondo, TX 78861.
He will forever be in our hearts.

Arnulfo Ornelas, 74
Arnulfo Ornelas better known as “Fito” passed away on January 10, 2024 at home at the age of 74. He was born October 23, 1949 in Bigfoot, Texas.
Fito loved family occasions and all things hunting especially hunting hogs, deer and rattlesnakes. He was known for his amazing homemade jerky.
Fito was preceded in death by his mother Angelia Lopez, brothers Raul, Ramiro, Fernando and Juan.
Fito is survived by his wife Linda Ramos of Bigfoot, Texas, his children: Susie Ornelas Vasquez (Uriel) of Bigfoot, Texas; Joe Ramos (Melissa) of Wellsville, Ohio; Donald (Jessica) Ornelas of Devine, Texas; and Gina Ramos Sanchez (Pete) of Devine, Texas. One brother Ricky Ornelas of Bigfoot, Texas. Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Rosary at 7:00 pm at Primrose Funeral Services Chapel at 303 W. College Ave., Devine, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Primera Iglesia Bautista Betania at 404 E. Hondo Ave in Devine at 10:00 am with interment at Longview Cemetery in Bigfoot, Texas.
Arrangements made under the direction of Primrose Funeral Services.
Pallbearers: Johnny Ornelas, A.J. Ortiz, Nach Ornelas, Jesse Ornelas, Jerry Ornelas and Ray Ornelas.
