Atascosa, Frio COVID-19 cases trend up as recovery numbers increase

COVID-19 cases in Atascosa and Frio counties continue to creep up, though active cases are relatively low.
Atascosa County
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), there were 462 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Atascosa County as of Monday, July 27.
Thirteen of those cases are considered active, while 445 are listed as recoveries. There have been four deaths.
The total number of cases increased from 442 on July 21, though active cases dropped from 53 and recoveries increased from 386.
Four deaths have been attributed to the coronavirus.

Frio County
COVID-19 cases in Frio County rose to 363 as of July 27, a figure that includes 31 active cases and 330 recoveries.
There are also 131 confirmed cases at the GEO detention center in Pearsall, with 82 cases currently under isolation or in monitoring.
The county had 341 confirmed COVID-19 cases on July 20, including 218 active cases and 122 recoveries.
There have been two deaths.
