The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Atascosa County remained unchanged as of May 4, according to the Department of State Health Services.
Fifty-five people were tested at the mobile test collection held at the Poteet Volunteer Fire Department last Friday, May 1. The results of those tests have not yet been returned.
According to the Atascosa County Emergency Management office’s Facebook page, plans are in the works to hold another mobile testing site at another location in the county this Friday, May 8. Details will be available on Wednesday.
Atascosa County has seen a total of 19 confirmed cases thus far, including seven active cases. Eleven patients have recovered, and one died.
