Arlene Rodgers McGuyer

Feb. 17th, 1935 – Feb. 2nd, 2017
Arlene was born in Pampa, Texas and moved to the Devine area after having resided in Stockdale and Charlotte, Texas.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents William Marion Rodgers and Louise D. Rodgers, two infant babies; Ronald and Emma Miller and husband Harry Edward McGuyer.
Arlene was known for having a contagious laugh and having a soft spot for people who were down on their luck.
Growing up in the country, Arlene had horses and was an accomplished rider. She was a member of the Charlotte Trojan Band and played the snare drums.
Arlene is survived by Robbin Evans Yarbrough of Devine; Curtis Strahan and wife Diana of Iowa and Cassie Strahan Brown and husband Carl of Devine; grandchildren: Jess Lee and John James Yarbrough, Angela Strahan Chadane, Zachary and Seth Strahan, Reagan, Hailey and Madison Brown and stepson Eddie McGuyer.
Memorial Services for Arlene will be held on Sat. March 11th at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2910 Avenue Q, Hondo, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the following: Medina Children’s Home, American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice.
