The Devine Arabians are now 4-0 after beating Brooks Academy and Fox Tech last week. With district half over, the Arabians lead and will work hard to maintain first place.
Last Tuesday against Brooks Academy, the Arabians controlled the score each set and Brooks never broke double digits. Wining 25-7, 25-8, and 25-4, the Arabians earned 37 kills and 15 aces in the win. “We did a great job of earning the majority of our points tonight. We did a great job of attacking the ball but also did a great job of serving. In games like this you can lose focus pretty quickly but the girls did a great job of staying focused and not getting caught off guard,” said Coach Leigh Anne McIver.

On the road Friday night, the Arabians beat Fox Tech in three sets. “We really got Fox Techs best in the first set and it kind of took us by surprise. But we were able to regroup and get back in our groove to get the win. First round of district is over and we are sitting exactly where we wanted to be. Now we just need to take care of the next 4 games,” said Coach McIver.

The Arabians played Somerset last night and will be off this Friday. Tuesday they will take on YWLA, October 22nd is against Brooks and then they will end district against Fox Tech on October 26th.
