Arabians open district with a win

With the season still in the air, the Arabians took on Feast Tuesday night at home. Feast is always a tough school to play and this year is no different. Devine took the first set 25-22 but dropped the second 19-25. Coach Leigh Ann McIver rallied her team back together and they won the third set 25-23 and fourth 26-24. Feast forced Devine to work hard and make every pass and kill count.
“This was a fantastic night for us!! Everything that we have been talking about for the last couple of weeks finally came together on the court. Everyone did what their team needed from them. We were way more aggressive, less mistakes and we stayed more upbeat the majority of the night. This was a great win going into district.” Coach McIver

In their first district game against Somerset, the Arabians were unstoppable, winning 25-9, 25-21, and 25-15. “This was a great way to start district. The girls played amazing in the first set. We kind of lost our focus in the second set but regained it in the 3rd. Not knowing what exactly is going to happen with our district, getting this win was huge for us!” Coach McIver

The games are worth going back and watching on YouTube on Jim Sessions’s page. The school is doing an amazing job bringing all the action into your homes if you are not able to be there in person. They are planning on continuing to stream all future games as they are scheduled.
