Arabians bump, set, and spike Uvalde in District opener

Devine’s tough preseason got the Arabians ready to face their District 29-4A foes as they defeated visiting Uvalde in straight sets last Friday. The Arabians won to put away the Lady Coyotes rather quickly to run their overall record to 18-13, 1-0 in district play.

The last game of the pre-district schedule showed a lot of what this team is capable of accomplishing this season. Devine lost to Navarro 3 sets to 1. However, every set could have gone the other way and it served as a great confidence boost going into 29-4A action.
There was no lingering hangovers from the Navarro loss as the Arabians dominated Uvalde in the District 29-4A opener for both teams.
If you were late to the DSAC when the Arabians played Uvalde, you may have missed most of the competition as the Arabians rolled 25-12, 25-2, 25-14.
To say Devine played well is an understatement. The Arabians look to continue their terrific play as the rest of the District 29-4A season takes shape.
Feather in her cap
