Arabian XC places 5th at Islander Splash Invitational

The trip to Corpus Christi to run in the Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi Islander Splash Invitational paid off in a big way for the Devine Arabian Cross Country team. Of 302 total varsity runners in the 2-mile, Med/Small school division, four Arabians placed in the top 50 while no Devine runner finished below 73rd place which is quite an accomplishment in itself.
The Arabians team score of 188 placed them behind champion Bandera (64), runner up Gonzales (136), third place team La Feria (151), and just behind fourth place finisher San Saba (185). Other district schools competing in the 34-team field were Carrizo Springs (19th, 483), Pearsall (21st, 526), Crystal City (26th, 693),
