Arabian XC ends season 10th place at Regional Meet

The Devine Arabian Cross Country team closed out its 2021 season by placing 10th in a field of 24 teams at the Region 4 Class 4A meet in Corpus Christi. The Arabians put to rest a terrific season in which several team plaques and individual medals were awarded.
Freshman Airyanna Rodriguez led the Arabians with her 13:38.6 effort. She placed 46th overall out of 170 runners.
Junior Kristina Moralez finished five spots, and almost four-seconds behind Rodriguez. Moralez placed 51st with a time of 13:52.2.
Freshman Charlee Rangel came in 54th place. Rangel ran 13:58.3.
Four-year letterman Yessika Garza placed 74th in her last high school race. She ran 14:17.9 to put the finishing touches on an outstanding Arabian Cross Country career. Garza was the last remaining runner from the state qualifying team she ran on as a freshman.
Junior Trinity Black came in 90th. Black ran 14:36.2.
Jilliyn Guajardo ran a 15:06.7 to place 114th. Guajardo looks to crack the top 100 next season.
Somewhat newcomer and senior Kendall Marek ran her one and only regional race as she rejoined Cross Country for the first time since her middle school Filly days. Marek ran 15:47.7 to place 135th.
Congratulations to all Arabian runners on a fantastic season!
