Arabian volleyball begins practice Aug. 1

Starting tomorrow August 1, the Arabian Volleyball will start practice at 7:30 am in the gym. Led by Coach Leigh Ann McIver, the Arabians will have to work hard to get ready for their first tournament in just four practices and two scrimmages. With most of her varsity returning this year, including Macey Hein who was awarded TAVC Newcomer of the year for 4A, Coach McIver has a lot of play-off experienced athletes who will be able to step up and fill in the gaps left by players who graduated last year.
“One of our biggest things is going to see who our go to hitter is after losing Sierra Pompa. We have a lot of returning players and will need to gel on the floor quickly. A lot will be learned in our two scrimmages before we head to the Columbus Tournament,” said Coach McIver.
Coach Kailee Ramirez will lead the JV Arabians and Coach Kailyn Rotramel will be the Freshman Coach. Players are reminded to have a physical completed before the first practice.
