The Devine Arabian golf team got its season underway under the chilly conditions Monday morning at Pleasanton Country Club. Kayla Busby led the way by shooting a 101 that garnered her 3rd Place Medalist. Shelby Spivey (128), Lillie Weyel (140), and Hannah Blackwell (148) pushed the team total to 517 which gave them a 6th place finish. Paige Williamson (156) rounded out the participants for the Arabians.
The girls travel to San Antonio next Monday to play at the NISD Golf Tournament at Republic Golf Course. Tee time is 8:00am.
Team results: 1st-Pleasanton (404), 2nd-Jourdanton (453), 3rd-Uvalde (463), 4th-Somerset (503), 5th-Carrizo Springs (514).
Individual: 1st-Laken McAda-Pleasanton (87); 2nd-Lacey Stevens-Pleasanton (96); 3rd-Busby-Devine (101); 4th-Averie Villarreal-Jourdanton (102); 5th-Sarah Brendel-Pleasanton (104).
