Annie Frances Burrell Campa November 23, 1928 – February 28, 2024

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Annie Frances Burrell Campa of Lytle, Texas, announce the passing of their dearly loved wife and mother. Annie departed this world peacefully on February 28, 2024, at her home in Lytle, Texas, finally finding peace after Alzheimer’s disease.


Annie was born on November 23, 1928, to Charles Edmond and Eluteria Alvarez Burrell in Rio Medina, Texas.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Irene Ruth Campa Carrillo; her brothers, Joseph, Charles, Anton (Tony), Fritz, Victor, and Kenneth; and sisters, Theresa Ybarra, Rose Marie Faccito, and Elizabeth Ozuna.
Annie is survived by her husband of over 72 years, Joe R Campa; sons, Joe Kenneth, Tommie Andrew (Audrey) and John Paul; daughters, Josie Marie and Paula Judy; sister, Josephine Flores; sisters-in-law, Alejandra Burell and Lucia Burrell; brother-in-law, Tony Campa (Maria); grandsons, Joseph Kenneth Campa (Laura), Johnny Lopez (Melissa), and Michael Lopez (Adriana); granddaughters, Debbie Peterson (Art), Jennifer Ann De la Rosa (Carlos); and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Anyone wishing to donate to a charity in memory of Annie may choose any of the following: the Alzheimer’s Association; the American Cancer Society; the American Heart Association; Easter Seals; St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital; March of Dimes; Shriners Children’s Hospital; Christus Children’s Hospital; the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, with a Visitation to begin at 9:00 A.M., and the Funeral Service starting at 10:00 A.M. at the Primrose Funeral Service Chapel of Lytle, Texas. Interment will follow at Lytle Community Cemetery.
