Lady Mustangs compete at district track meet

Natalia’s Lady Mustangs used sixteen total points in the two sprint relays and an individual championship in Discus by Kylee Spangler to net 26 points in last week’s District 27-3A Track Meet in Jourdanton.
Trina Vera, Christina Fulton, Angelica Padilla, and Trista Vera placed fourth in the 4x100m Relay while Spangler joined Padilla, Trista Vera, and Trina Vera in their fourth-place effort in the 4x200m Relay.
All five earned the right to compete at least one more time in next week’s Area competition.
“I am extremely proud of how all of our athletes competed,” said Head Coach Jason Reynolds. “They worked hard all season long and are peaking at the right time. In a year of uncertainty, they made the most of their opportunities. Congratulations to our Area Qualifiers and I look forward to them representing our team and community!”
