Ida Ruth Mays (84) entered into the arms of the Heavenly Father on August 25, 2020.
Ida was born December 30, 1935 to Joe and Martha Waneck in Bastrop, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Bryan Mays.
Ida is survived by her husband of 60 years, Corrie E. Mays, her daughters Debbie (Allen) Sansom Jr. of Devine, Diane (Abel) Valdez of Castroville, and Denise Mays of Devine, 13 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
For everyone who knew Ida, her smile was infectious, her laughter undeniable, and she had a soul that was like no other. Ida never spoke a harsh word to anyone and was always there if you needed her. She will be greatly missed by many, from her family to her church family. She may be gone but she will not be forgotten.
