October 15th, the Natalia 8th Grade A team had a big win against Dilley on Monday night. They won their first set 25-22 but dropped their second set 17-25. It was in the third set that their hard work in practice paid off. They beat Dilley 15-12 in the third for the win.
“Our 8th grade A team came out with a win tonight against Dilley. It was a hard fought battle to end the third set. Our girls jumped ahead quickly but our lack of communication and movement on the court allowed Dilley to come too close for comfort. The second and third set called for some drastic lineup changes and I am extremely proud of our girls who stepped up selflessly for their team and played positions they are not accustomed to; back to work tomorrow to prepare for Lytle next week,” Coach Tiffany Balencia said.
