7th-8th Colts XC top team at Tilden

Thirty-six seventh and eighth grade Cross Country runners took to the two-mile course last Saturday morning in Tilden. Host McMullen County and invitees Devine, Jourdanton, Nordheim, and Edcouch-Eula competed in their second meet of the season.
Seventh graders Tanner Davis, Maverick Beaty, and Mario Vicente along with eighth grader Tony Saldivar paced the Colts efforts with 3rd, 7th, 9th, and 10th place finishes. Bo Wheeler, George Garcia, Edwin Belor, and Taylor Hurst finished in the top twenty.
“I am proud of our effort,” stated Coach Mark Mangold. “Our runners are improving every week.”
Runners were not divided by grade level, team points were not recorded, and a championship team was not recognized.
