Poteet opened the season with losses to Kenedy, 57-12, and Brackenridge, 45-27, before putting together an impressive 42-0 shutout of San Antonio Christian. The Aggies then opened district play with consecutive losses to Carrizo Springs, 50-0, and Lytle, 58-33.
