19 Warhorses wrap up track season at Regional; Jacob Featherly vaults to State!

Senior pole-vaulter Jacob Featherly followed up his school-record performance at Area by not only just qualifying for State, but by becoming the Region IV 4A Pole Vault champion. Featherly vaulted 13’9” to beat silver medalist Preston Pilgrim of Pleasanton by three inches.
The Warhorses scored 13.33 points overall to place 15th out of 31 teams who sent representatives. Aside from Featherly’s 10 championship points, placing sixth was Xavier Garza in the 1600m for a point and the 4x200m Relay team of Xsavior Martinez, Brady Hackebeil, Buddy Santos, and Christian Gerlach for two points. Featherly’s vaulting partner Zachary Alvarez tied for sixth with two others to get .33 points.
