Natalia ISD okays contract with education consulting company

The Natalia school board voted Monday to contract with Austin-based public school consulting firm Moak Casey regarding strategic planning for the district’s future.
Buck Gilcrease, chief executive officer for the firm, served 18 years as a school district superintendent before joining Moak Casey.

Even though the hallways at DHS were silent last week, the Arabian basketball team got in a little work over the Thanksgiving holiday with games against La Vernia and Navarro. Devine continues its tournament part of their season Thursday and Saturday in Marion before entertaining Hondo next Tuesday prior to hosting their own tournament December 7-9.

11/21-Assist MCSO – Officer on duty provided backup for MCSO with a Crime/Narcotic traffic stop.
11/21-Warrant/Wanted Person – Officer on duty responded to assist MCSO Narcotics with a traffic stop. The Officer ran the subject and discovered multiple outstanding Texas warrants on file. The subject was arrested and transported to MCSO for booking once extradition status was confirmed.

Francisco Gonzales

Francisco Gonzales, known to many as “Pancho” or “El Duke,” 67 of Natalia, beat his battle with Leukemia and went home to Jesus on November 23rd, 2023
He was born to Natividad and Guadalupe Gonzales in Natalia on December 22, 1955. He enjoyed walking around Natalia and never knew a stranger. He could always be found eating tacos or walking around town talking to everyone along the way.
