Back-to-back 3-1 tournament win-loss records has the Warhorses looking good on the baseball diamond, winning six of their past 7 games overall to improve to 8-5 on the year. Head Coach Heath Poppe was hoping that recent tear would continue into his team’s March 10 District 27-4A opener against Uvalde at Warhorse Field.
Devine won their initial two games in the Dilley Tournament last Thursday, then dropped their first game on Friday before salvaging the day by taking the nightcap.

This one started off looking like the Horses were going to be up-the-creek as New Braunfels took a 4-0 lead after the first inning. However, Devine rallied with 4 runs in the top of the second inning to tie it before going on to the 6-5 come-from-behind win.
