Lytle Police Report July 26 – August 1

July 26
10:47 AM – Officer responded to Bad Vibes Studio for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:02 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at FM 2790 N for a report of a vehicle that ran out of fuel crossing the railroad tracks and was parked on the wrong side of the roadway. The vehicle was pushed off the road.
6:57 PM – Complainant called the Police Station to report she lost her wallet at HEB C-Store 3 days ago. Officer went to HEB C-Store and spoke to the manager who then checked the lost and found and discovered the wallet had been turned in.
7:03 PM – Officers responded to McDonald’s for a report of a disturbance between an irate customer and an employee. Officer spoke to the manager who stated the customer was upset about the order and wanted a refund but became belligerent with the staff.
7:25 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a disturbance between the female resident and her current boyfriend and ex-boyfriend.
8:11 PM – Officers responded to Naomi’s Diner and provided a courtesy ride to a male subject who had fallen off his bike.
July 27
1:33 AM – While on patrol at Main St. and Railroad St. officer noticed a young woman in the dark that appeared to be crying. Officer spoke to the 25 YO female who stated her family kicked her out and she was trying to get to San Antonio. Officer provided her a courtesy ride to the Loves on IH 35.
3:24 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of an unconscious female laying beside the Red Box machine. Officer spoke to the woman who stated she was just resting. Officer provided the female a courtesy ride to Valero on IH 35 N at 410.
7:35 AM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of an alarm. The alarm sensor set off the alarm before the manager could turn it off.
8:45 AM – Officer returned found property to rightful owner.
9:04 AM – Officer responded to Texas Western Wearhouse for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
9:21 AM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn in reference to a stolen firearm being pawned. The firearm was seized and submitted into evidence for safekeeping. The firearm was stolen out of Mesa, Arizona in 1991.
1:00 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 131 in reference to a stolen pickup truck. After searching IH 35, it was determined that Medina Co. Sheriff’s Office had jurisdiction for the report.
2:35 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center to assist Atascosa Co. with an unruly patient. Officers were cancelled upon arrival.
3:00 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a suspicious person walking with a child at HEB C-Store. According to the caller, neither party appeared to be in distress, they appeared to be waiting for a ride.
3:24 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to her great-granddaughter having an Active Protective Order against her. There was no active protective order involving either party.
5:23 PM – Officer responded to By the Grace of God Thrift Store to unlock a vehicle.
6:48 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Dental for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:00 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
July 28
12:03 AM – Traffic stop at the 15200 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old male subject for having an Active Felony Warrant out of Bexar Co. for Assault Family Choking/Strangulation. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
1:00 AM – Officer made field contact with a suspicious person at the MC Mini Storage. Subject was going through their storage unit.
12:25 PM – Traffic stop at Main St. and Davis St. resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old male subject for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was cited and released.
5:57 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 for a report of a two vehicle crash.
6:21 PM – Officer responded to Taco Bell for a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the female allowed her boyfriend to drive the vehicle and he left her at the Taco Bell. The female was advised no criminal offense had occurred.
6:37 PM – Officer conducted a follow up investigation and the suspect provided a voluntary verbal statement.
7:32 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
7:55 PM – While patrolling at Saddle Ridge, officer noticed a man walking out of the brush from the city’s sewer plant area. Officer made contact with the male who immediately became very hostile and threatened to assault officer if he was not an officer. Officer explained to him that he was trespassing and not to come back out of that area. The male stated he was staying at Best Western and is homeless.
July 29
12:20 AM – Officer was flagged down by a resident at Coal Mine who reported some strange activity. The resident stated that about two weeks ago he saw a white pickup truck drop off two females at about 1am and then the truck drove around the block and picked them up. The resident stated the truck had a refrigerator and other metal objects in the bed, thinks they were out stealing scrap metal.
4:36 AM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a male subject who entered a room and was occupying it without paying. Officers advised the manager the male had been dealt with multiple times throughout the night and he was confrontational.
12:05 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of Criminal Mischief. A subject who stayed overnight damaged a TV and remote.
3:01 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at FM 2790 Overpass for a report of an 18 wheeler stalled. Officer contacted a towing company to tow the truck as it was causing a traffic hazard.
3:45 PM – Officer talked to complainant in reference to his rear passenger side window shatter at the Cabinet Creations. It is unknown what caused it as the vehicle was parked in the parking lot.
5:55 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus in reference to a vehicle running over a stop sign in the parking lot. The vehicle is seen on video running over the stop sign and then fleeing the location.
9:45 PM – Officers responded to FM 2790 at Luckey Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a traffic stop.
July 30
12:04 AM – Officers responded to FM 3175 at Pinn Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a traffic stop that resulted in an arrest.
2:01 AM – Officers responded to 18700 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. in reference to complainant wanting to put his horse down. Officers explained to the homeowner about not being able to discharge any firearms in the city limits and to contact the veterinary in the morning.
2:01 AM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
12:42 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store to assist Texas DPS with a traffic stop where a female evaded on foot. Upon arrival, the female had been apprehended. Officers provided scene support until the suspect was transported to jail.
1:15 PM – Officers responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of a vehicle crash. The at-fault vehicle struck an unattended vehicle and fled the scene without exchanging information.
8:20 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
July 31
7:30 AM – Officer conducted business checks throughout the city. Around 40 businesses were contacted.
9:15 AM – Officers attended the Lytle Farmer’s Market and patrolled the area.
9:35 AM – Officers responded to Main St. at Cortez Rd. and made contact with an individual that matched the description of a shoplifter that allegedly took items from the HEB Plus. The individual was identified and later eliminated as the suspect.
9:55 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a customer who was a suspected shoplifter from the previous incident. Officers arrived and it turned out not to be the suspect.
10:50 AM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Carwash for a report of found property. Upon arrival, the complainant found three 22 caliber rounds in the vacuum area. The rounds were placed into the evidence locker.
1:24 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 N at Hwy. 132 for a report of a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident. The driver of the motorcycle was airlifted to the University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a downed tree limb near the tennis court. Lytle Parks was notified.
4:45 PM – Officer responded to Annie’s Pet Grooming for a report of a civil matter/tenant dispute.
5:25 PM – Officers responded to Bruce St. to unlock a vehicle.
6:10 PM – Complainants stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
10:35 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a female panhandling. Officer was unable to locate the subject.
10:40 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
August 1
3:30 AM – Officers responded to old Days Inn for a report of an alarm going off. Officers arrived and did not hear an alarm. The gate was secured to the site.
9:20 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 N at Mile Marker 127 to assist Medina Co. with a crash. The driver fled prior to officers’ arrival and the truck was still on scene. Medina Co. arrived and the scene was turned over to them.
9:45 AM – Officer responded to 16000 Blk. of CR 681 for a report of a large water leak that created a large pothole covering half the roadway and creating a traffic hazard. Lytle Public Works was notified.
12:21 PM – Officer responded to Las Palomas Dr. and FM 3175 for a report of a tree limb blocking the roadway. Officer arrived and was unable to locate.
3:33 PM – Officers responded to Railroad St. at N Somerset St. for a report of an assault. A civil matter over a child resulted in a male grabbing the arm of a female. The initial call was in the 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for a 911 call relayed from Bexar Co. in reference to a child being forcibly removed. It was later discovered that the child was taken by his mother. Case under investigation.
5:16 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious black hatchback following a customer. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of woman possibly intoxicated driving around the HEB parking lot. Officer searched the parking lot and was unable to locate the woman.
