Lytle Police Report July 15-21

July 15
4:42 AM – Officer responded to 18900 Blk. of N Prairie St. for a report of an assault. Victim stated that her boyfriend assaulted her and then keyed her vehicle when he fled the residence. She later provided a statement that she didn’t wish to file charges.
8:17 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a welfare check on a female that was involved in an accident earlier and needing a ride. Officer drove around the area and was unable to locate.
9:25 AM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Adams St. for a welfare check on a male at the John Lott Park walking on the railroad track acting incoherent. Officers were notified by dispatch that the male subject was located under the bridge at FM 2790 E and IH 35. Subject had been involved in an altercation earlier with Atascosa Co. Deputies. The male subject was asked to stay away from residence after a verbal altercation with his father.
9:45 AM – Officers served a Lytle PD Warrant on a 30-year-old female subject who was arrested for Assault Bodily Injury and transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
10:45 AM – Officers responded to Hurley Funeral Home and provided funeral escort.
12:40 PM – Using Stolen Credit Card Officers responded to Big Tex Trailer World for a report of an individual purchasing a 2019 black dump trailer (valued at $9,000) with an alleged stolen credit card. The transaction took place over the telephone.
2:10 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in regards to a possible assault that occurred in Twin Lakes. Officer provided the complainant the number for Medina Co. Sheriff’s Office.
6:20 PM – Officers responded to 14600 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a 911 hang up call. Officers were unable to locate.
July 16
12:12 AM – Officer responded to 15600 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a black BMW driving recklessly. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
2:00 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of suspicious juveniles. Upon arrival, officer detained 3 juveniles for curfew violation and HEB C-Store wanted a criminal trespass warning. The juveniles were transported to the Police Station for processing. They were cited and released to their legal guardians and given a verbal criminal trespass warning.
3:51 AM – Officer initiated a traffic stop on a diver due to her hitting a curb. Due to the driver’s age and unsafe driving, she was released to a friend. Subject was not intoxicated.
9:10 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of FM 463 for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer discovered the Rips Lawn Service weed eating the fence line for Lake Shore Estates.
9:13 AM – Recovered Property (Stolen Trailer) Officer conducted a follow-up investigation in reference to the stolen trailer from Big Tex. Officer spoke with the resident where the trailer was delivered. The contact led to the recovery of the stolen trailer and the discovery of another stolen trailer out of Bexar Co.
9:15 AM – Officer responded to Lynda’s Trade Mart for a report of a 911 hang up call. Officer checked with all residents and everyone was okay.
10:16 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 (½ mile North of the city) and assisted a stranded motorist. Officer assisted the motorist in changing a blown-out tire.
1:07 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of D’Hanis St. for a welfare check on a suicidal person. Upon arrival, it was discovered the boyfriend had placed the call from Devine in regards to his girlfriend. Officer made contact with a female at her residence and found her to be okay with her 3 children.
3:37 PM – Officer responded to 700 Las Palomas for a report of a suspicious vehicle and two males attempting to break into a house and snatch children. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the males were salesmen and the call was handed over to Atascosa Co.
4:27 PM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of Railroad St. in regards to a camera installed illegally on a railroad trestle. Officer was contacted by a Special Agent with the UPRR. The owner of the camera was contacted and notified to remove the camera off the railroad property.
5:56 PM – Officer received a fax stating a 2002 Ford F250 vehicle that was stolen out of Lytle had been recovered by Bexar Co. The vehicle was stolen on May 30, 2019 off of S Benton St.
7:44 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 Access Rd. at FM 3175 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer was unable to locate.
8:00 PM – Officers responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a follow up investigation on an open case.
8:58 PM – Officers responded to John Lott Park for a report of a group of teens smoking what smelled like marijuana. Officer arrived and made contact with two individuals who were smoking cigarettes. No marijuana odor was coming from them nor the area.
July 17
12:05 AM – Officer responded to Las Palomas at FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. with a suspicious male walking the street wearing dark clothing and carrying a backpack. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
3:15 AM – While on patrol at the 15000 Blk. of Main St. officer observed that the rear lamp of a bulldozer was activated. The bulldozer was located under a covered area next to a building. All appeared secure.
8:03 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Oil Exchange for a follow-up on the heavy equipment that had the light on overnight. All was okay.
8:30 AM – Officer responded to Taqueria Jalisco for a report of a hit & run.
11:14 AM – Traffic stop at McDonald’s resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male subject for having a Warrant out of LaSalle Co. for the Original Charge of Possession of Marijuana. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:35 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in regards to stolen identity.
1:35 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. to assist Atascosa EMS with a stabbed victim. The victim was most likely stabbed in Bexar Co. He refused to cooperate with officers.
2:20 PM – Officer responded to Quicksilver to unlock a vehicle.
3:05 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. and talked to complainant in regards to a suspicious vehicle.
3:58 PM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of Laney’s Catch for a report of an alarm. Upon arrival, officer discovered a pool cleaner in the back yard cleaning the pool. The home was secure and everything appeared to be okay.
4:23 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
4:55 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in regards to an incident at their residence. The complainant lived outside city limits and officer requested Medina Co. Deputy to assist the complainant.
5:17 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to complainant in reference to being refused service at the El Bufalo Pawn Shop.
5:30 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter.
6:05 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of S. Prairie St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
7:06 PM – Office responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a male subject in need of a courtesy ride. Officer provide a ride to HEB C-Store.
8:15 PM – Officer observed a man drive past that he knows to be wanted. Officer made contact with the male subject as he was sitting in his parked vehicle in front of his house. Officer confirmed that the 23-year-old male subject had an Active Warrant out of Medina Co. for Sexual Assault of a Child. Subject was transported to Medina Co. Jail.
July 18
8:34 AM – Officer responded to McDonald St. at IH 35 Access Rd. for a report of a hit & run.
9:10 AM – Officer conducted a follow-up investigation on a hit & run case.
12:32 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 Access Rd. at FM 3175 for a report of a two vehicle crash.
1:20 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to vehicle crossing the median on IH 35 to the access road. It was discovered that the vehicle were crossing outside the city limits in Medina Co. Officer drove on each side of the highway and was unable to see any vehicles crossing.
3:30 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 133 NB and assisted a disabled motorist.
6:51 PM – Officer s responded to 19300 Blk. of N Prairie St. for a report of a civil matter.
7:23 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N at Mile Marker 132 for a report of an 18 wheeler that rear ended another 18 wheeler.
9:37 PM – Officer responded to AutoZone for a report of a 2006 Blue 1500 Chevrolet Silverado. The owner left the vehicle unlocked and running while he went into the store for parts.
11:45 PM – While on patrol at the Lytle High School, Officer noticed two vehicles parked behind the Ag Area. Officer spoke with a man and a woman sitting in one vehicle who were meeting.
July 19
1:55 AM – Officer stopped to talk to a pedestrian who had asked for a ride. A check on the pedestrian’s name resulted in the discovery of a warrant. A 31-year-old subject was arrested for having an Active Warrant out of Bexar Co. for an Original Charge of Criminal Trespass. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:10 AM – Officers responded to 1500 Blk. of FM 2790 E to assist Atascosa EMS with a call due to a deputy not being in the area.
11:45 AM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of N Prairie St. to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a residential smoke alarm. The house appeared to be okay and no smoke was noted on scene.
9:55 PM – Officer assisted the public with a courtesy ride to Greenwood Rd.
10:20 PM – Officer responded to 14300 Blk. of FM 2790 W for a report of an alarm. Officer found the residence to be secure.
10:40 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. to assist Travis Co. ME Office with a death notification.
July 20
2:47 AM – Officer responded to 14300 Blk. of FM 2790 W for a report of an alarm. Officer found the residence to be secure.
4:23 PM – Officer responded to Covey Dr. at Blue Quail to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a domestic disturbance.
6:10 AM – Officer responded to US Renal Care and talked to officer in regards to the facility refusing him services.
7:02 AM – Officer responded to 14300 Blk. of FM 2790 W for a report of an alarm. Officer found the residence to be secure.
11:03 AM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of N Prairie St. and talked to complainant in reference to her ex-boyfriend leaving the water hose on outside the back by the shed.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ to unlock a vehicle.
8:10 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
10:00 PM – While on patrol at Hacienda Jalisciense officer observed a suspicious SUV in the parking lot. After further investigation, the vehicle turned to be owned by the owner of Hacienda Jalisciense.
10:25 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a welfare check. Officer made contact with the female subject, all was okay.
July 21
12:25 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at Mile Marker 131 for a report of a vehicle parked on the overpass of FM 3175 creating a traffic hazard. The vehicle was deemed a safety hazard and was impounded.
12:05 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Rodeo Dr. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
4:15 PM – Officer responded to Taco Bell for a report of a suspicious male smoking marijuana outside the restaurant. Officer made contact with the male individual who was inside eating. The male was identified and released.
4:21 PM – Officer responded to Park & Ride for a report of a truck with a broken window.
6:12 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB for a report of a reckless driver. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
10:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious male customer that allegedly previously shoplifted. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
