Lytle Pirates faced Natalia; capture District

The Lytle Pirates beat the Natalia Mustangs winning District, they will go on to face West Campus in the Bi-District playoffs.

The Pirates defeated Natalia at home last Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 4 – 2 on great pitching from Jair Flores. Flores threw a complete game and allowed 2 unearned runs while striking out 8.

Natalia Lady Mustangs beats Poteet 13 – 1 in Bi-District

The Natalia Lady Mustangs beat the Poteet Lady Aggies to capture the Bi-District title in softball.

Araceley Segovia drove in four runs on three hits to lead Natalia Lady Mustangs past Poteet Aggies 13-1 on Thursday. Segovia doubled in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the fourth inning, scoring one.

Pirates victorious over Javelinas

Warhorse baseball looks to finish strong

Warhorse baseball has suffered several close defeats throughout their District 29-4A schedule, and with only one game remaining as of press time Devine needed to win out and get some serious help from other squads if their goal of making the state playoffs were to materialize.
Devine lost a 5-2, 10-inning affair to Somerset last Friday. A win there would have given the Warhorses more hope to extend their season.
The Warhorses played at Pearsall Tuesday, April 23 and close out their portion of the 29-4A schedule at home against Floresville Friday, April 26.
