Maria Trinidad Rios, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024, at her home in Devine, TX at the age of 76. Maria’s kindness and loving nature touched the lives of all who crossed her path and will forever be remembered.
George Lloyd McAllister
George Lloyd McAllister (aka “Mr. Mac”) passed away on Palm Sunday March 24 surrounded by his family. George was born in Jourdanton, Texas on July 26, 1928, to Letha Slater McAllister and James Walker McAllister. George grew up with seven siblings and of those seven, two are still living.

Eugene Emil “Gene” Bendele, DDS, of Devine, Texas passed away March 27, 2024 at the age of 74. He was born December 23, 1949 in Castroville, Texas to Eugene Herman Bendele and Anna Klasek Bendele.

There will be a Celebration of Life this Saturday, April 6 at First Baptist Church in Natalia, TX for Santiago “Jimmy” M. Vasquez.
Join family and friends for coffee and donuts as they share stories about Jimmy. The Visitation will be held from 9am-10am. Immediately following visitation, we will have a service to celebrate Jimmy’s life from 10am-11am.Services will conclude at First Baptist Church.

Janet Wilson went to be with the Lord our God on March 23, 2024.
Janet was born on December 6, 1932, to Edward and Chleo Holmes in Oilton, Oklahoma. The family found their way to Jackson County Texas like many other oilfield families after the Depression. In Jackson County she met and married John Shutt, raising two sons. After 19 years of marriage, they divorced. She later married C.A. Wilson – a marriage that lasted just short of 40 years.
Rose Dela Garcia
Rose Dela Garcia, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away on March 20, 2024, in San Antonio, TX at the age of 60. Born on December 31, 1963, Rose was known for her fun spirit, positive attitude, warm heart, and unwavering love for her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Linda Rae (Keith) Barrow
Linda Rae (Keith) Barrow, 76, passed away with family surrounding her on March 9, 2024. She was born on July 6, 1947, in San Antonio, TX, to Ray A. Keith and Mary Grace (Ward) Keith. The Keiths lived in Natalia, then moved to Devine, and built the famous light pink brick house on Warhorse Drive when Linda was in middle school.
Mary Nell Gray Hall
Mary Nell Gray Hall passed away on February 23, 2024, in Austin, Texas, after a joyous, full life of 98 years. Zane Bruce Hall, her loving husband of 64 years, predeceased her in 2013. She is survived by her brother, Henry Alton Gray (Billie); her children, Nancy Hall Einhorn (Kenneth) and Donald Roy Hall (Heather); her grandchildren, Daphne Einhorn, Lauren Einhorn, Charlotte Einhorn, Allison Hall, and Graham Hall; her sister-in-law, Joyce Gray; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Judith “Judy” KayeKnox Patterson
Judith “Judy” Kaye Knox Patterson of San Antonio, formerly of Castroville, passed away March 19, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born on January 8, 1939, to Charles R. Knox and Harvie Irene Riley Knox in Hays, Kansas. She graduated from Hobbs High School (Hobbs, NM) in 1957 and proceeded to attend Sul Ross State University. It was there that she met the love of her life, John “Jay” Patterson, and the two were married on May 26, 1960.
