Head Coach Jim Sessions and Arabian Nation is waking up this morning already knowing whether they are the outright District 29-4A Champions or if they have the Co-Champ distinction after last night’s league-closing tilt against the Jaguars.
Devine was 11-0 and Floresville was 10-1 going into the February 6 affair with the only blemish on the Jaguars record was a 44-30 loss to the Arabians back on January 12.
vs Somerset
As one can surmise from the 50-22 score of this one, the Arabians led in all major statistical categories in route to their 26th win of the season over the Lady Bulldogs in Somerset. Natalie Valle led the way with 17 points, Denise Contreras added 16 while defensively Valle, Liah Romero, Airyanna Rodriguez, and Kylie Monreal alternated swatting shot attempts…

Four Horses hit double figures led by Tanner Davis and Makhi Burford who each drained 16 points while Mason Beaver and Elijah Contreras each scored 10. Contreras had a good night on the glass as well hauling down 9 rebounds.

They were pushed to get out of their comfort zones each day in practice. I feel like they really grew their knowledge on how to move the ball around on offense and how to look for the open spots/players against different defenses.”
