La Coste council rejects participation in regional water management scheme

A proposal by two major water providers in Medina County to bring communities together to better manage and develop regional water resources was rejected by the La Coste City Council last week.
La Coste Mayor Pro Tem Jeremy Johonnett, conducting the June 18 regular meeting in the absence of Mayor Andrew Keller, said the idea had merit. However, participating in a preliminary feasibility study proposed by the Medina County Regional Water Alliance would be too costly.

Recount rejected in local congressional race

On Saturday, June 15, Bob Oberlander and Chris Schuchart (Medina County outgoing Republican Chair and incoming Republican Chair) were informed by Jen Hall, Executive Director of the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) that Brandon Herrera, candidate for US Congress in district 23, had filed a petition for recount.

This digital replica, is the exact size and color of the original miraculous image that Our Lady left on Saint Juan Diego’s tilma in 1531. It is certified by Cardinal Norberto Carrera, Archbishop of Mexico.

Monte Carlo night coming up July 27

The Devine Fire Department is hosting their big Monte Carlo night fundraiser this coming July 27. You can expect live music, and lots of great prizes.
There are plenty of sponsorship opportunities ranging from $5,000 to $250, or you can be a table sponsor for $300. Silent Auction sponsors and drawing prizes are also needed. Please email your company artwork to auxiliary@deivnefire.org if you are interested.

Big Time Bubbles

at Lytle Public Library

The Lytle Public Library will be hosting a foam party on July 2, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to come and get the chance to play in the fun, hypo-allergenic, non-sticky, scent-free foam.The foam will fill up a 50 square foot space, plenty of room running and playing.
It is recommended but not required that kids wear bathing suits and bring towels and a change of clothes for afterwards.
