Lytle considers sale of local gas system

By a vote of 3-0 Tuesday evening the Lytle City Council approved a May 4 election to authorize or reject the sale of the city-owned natural gas utility distribution system.
District 5 Alderman Charles Cate took no part in the vote or the closed executive session preceding it. District 1 Alderman Miguel Aguirre was absent during the entire Tuesday meeting.

Mustangs move forward with $22.6 million bond election

In a special meeting Monday morning the Natalia school board voted to call a May bond election seeking public support for a proposed $22.6 million bond program.

Devine applies for $12.6 M in State financing for Burnt Boot Creek project

By a 3-1 vote the Devine City Council voted to apply for a low-interest state loan to help finance a proposed $12.6 million flood infrastructure project along Burnt Boot Creek.
During a special meeting called Feb. 6 Mayor Butch Cook said the loan application to the Texas Water Development Board represented “an opportunity to offset” a lot of the project’s expense.”

The Lytle Music Festival will return in March! Be sure to mark your calendars for March 22-23rd. They have a great line-up, including a Tejano band, local musicians, and regional acts. The Chad Cooke Band is the headlining band on Saturday, March 23rd.
All the scheduled acts have original music found on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, etc. Plus you can catch some of their songs on Texas country radio stations.

5:38AM – Complainant advised vehicle parked in middle of road only a few inches from grass. Road is narrow giving appearance of more than enough room to get by.
9:31AM – Complainant called regarding tan Chevy truck, 4 door, ran stop sign and into complainant’s yard. No damage reported. Unable to locate vehicle.
12:02PM – Walmart store without power, stop lights at Oakhill not working and other areas.
