DMS One Act Play takes 3rd in District

DMS One Act Play took 3rd at District, and brought home five individual awards.

Congratulations to the Devine Middle School One Act Play for placing third in the District 29 One Act Play competition in Carrizo Springs on Saturday, December 2, 2017. In addition to their team award there were also five individual awards: Brook Schott (All-Star Crew), Trey Rangel (Honorable Mention Cast), Madison Rodriguez (Honorable Mention Cast), Mikaela Johnson (All-Star Cast) and Jon Martin (All-Star Cast). As Phillip Taylor (Coordinator of Fine Arts for Fort Bend ISD) one of the adjudicators stated, “I loved the black and white costume execution, many shows try to execute this color-scheme and are unsuccessful. You nailed it!” Another adjudicator, Cathy Huvar, commented “All actors understood the heart and soul of their characters.” Great job DMS OAP!
The Devine Middle School One Act Play this year was under the direction of Mrs. Sharie Miller.
A public performance took place prior to competition last Thursday night in Devine and was enjoyed by all.
