Arabians back on track; Round two on the horizon

The Arabians fell to Carrizo Springs in a hard-fought four-set match but bounced back in a big way to defeat the visiting Natalia Lady Mustangs in straight sets. Devine played Lytle on September 29.
“While Carrizo Springs was a tough loss, we are already back in the gym, working hard and focusing on correcting our mistakes,” said Head Coach Samantha Mendez. “This match was an eye-opener and a valuable lesson moving forward. We faced challenges, learned from them, and grew stronger as a team. We’ll take what we learned, continue to work, and keep pushing forward.”
Devine had control after winning the first set 25-16 but dropped the next three 21-25, 22-25, and 17-25.
The Arabians got a big lead on Natalia in each of the three sets as they went on to win 25-8, 25-13, 25-8. Devine looks forward to the second round and are still in the hunt for a district championship.
“The games ahead are calling, and we’re ready for the challenge!” Mendez said in closing.
